In 1936 John J. Harty began providing insurance services to his co-workers on the Union Pacific Railroad in Jamestown, North Dakota. This began the tradition of personal service that Harty Insurance continues today. John built his business on personal relationships and his dedication to filling the needs for personal and property protection of his friends
