Goodro Lumber originally began in East Middlebury, Vermont as a sawmill and hardware store, owned by Harry Goodro. When he retired in 1969, he left the business to his son Rodney, and sons-in-law Richard Perry and Wyman Thomas. In 1970, they built another store in Killington to serve the growing ski community.
