Francesco Bruno was born in Corigliano Calabria Italy in 1859. He came to America in 1892 to start a new life and have a better opportunity for his family. He was one of the first Italians to settle in Westerly R.I. and opened a fruit / grocery store in the early 1900's on Pleasant Street where the family lived.
