San Jose is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around town. The location is excellent as it's in the heart of Webster Groves and it has an outside patio in addition to regular seating and a bar area. The people are so nice and the food is excellent! My favorites are the Mole Poblano and the tamales, but there are other good selections too, like combo Fajitas, Chile Verde, and more.
Try the Cucos Margarita. It's a little more than the house, but you get more than you pay for. Very friendly wait staff. We love San Jose in Webster Groves, and go there at least once every couple of weeks--sometimes every week! The staff are great, and always make us feel so welcome. The margaritas are big, and strong.

Quaint little restaurant situated on a corner of two streets and right next to some railroad tracks. The food was delicious, I ordered a Fajitas Texascana. Grilled strips of chicken, steak and shrimp and sauteed with green bell pepper and onions. Absolutely awesome!!! Our waiter never wrote anything down, he memorized our entire order and we got everything we needed.
Definitely going back to a great place!! Friendly staff and a pleasant dining experience.

I am so disappointed. The margaritas have changed! The mix is now a light green, whereas before it had a yellow cast, and if there is any tequila, it must be a thimble full when they make the "ready mix"! They said it was the same, but I've been going there for years, and think I can tell the difference!

My husband and I used to be regulars to San Jose in Webster. However after tonight we will not be going back to this place. I like to try different margaritas and decided to order the Cuoco's (sp?) margarita and didn't like how it tasted. I'm not one to complain but My husband said to just let them know and get the platinum blood orange or the house which I always enjoy. However, I was then interrogated by the "owner" for why I did not like a batched margarita. I tried it and let my husband try it and we both thought it was weird tasting. I honestly can't believe this actually happened. We were
