Services
Dr. Reed graduated from Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He practiced in Carthage, Mississippi before moving his family to Millington in 1990. He purchased North Shelby in 2001 and it has become a family affair since his wife and son also work there. Dr. Reed is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Assn., TN & MS Veterinary Medical Assns., and Memphis/Shelby Co. Veterinary Medical Assn.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Pets should have an annual examination to be sure that they are healthy. During the annual exam, we will offer blood tests that can help determine if your pet has any potential health issues.
Although we do see walk-ins, appointments are seen first, unless it is an emergency. Our surgeries are done weekday mornings and most of our surgical patients can go home the same day. We will send home any meds and post-surgical care instructions. We also take care of our "drop-off" patients in the morning so they can go home in the afternoon.

I came here with my pregnant dog in labor, and the Dr. had to do an emergency c section. They were professional and took care of my girl as soon as possible and sent me home with my puppies as well. I was very grateful for the professionalism I received from the staff. Thank you for taking good care of my dog Belle and my puppies.
