His father was a Master Barber and he grew up in Erie, PA spending time at his dads business. He was inspired by his father, his profession and the precision cutting techniques used in the profession of Barbering. He attended Barber school, fulfilled his apprenticeship and became a Master Barber. After that he continued his training in Cosmetology school to the level of Teacher.
John was the General Manager for a chair of salons, overseeing day to day operations with managing and training of the staff. Eventually he relocated from PA to AZ to join the staff at Gulick Bros. His work includes styling, coloring, weaving, curl or body waving processes, and custom cutting. When he has completed work on his client, he still finds the greatest satisfaction in seeing that client smiling in the mirror.

I've been going to Dave Sr. at Gulick Bros for 10+ years. Everyone there is friendly, professional and just plain love making you look your best! Throughout the years people have commented on my hair and asked for who my stylist is. Gulick Bros is in a convenient location, is a long-standing business, and everyone there strives to achieve the best results!

Since 1989 Dave Gulick Sr has cut, colored and styled my hair. His son is in his own place next door, and all that remains if the brother's working here are Dave and little brother Chuck. Family men, and getting up there in years (Dave's over 70 but sure doesn't look it.) but the older the better - these guys can cut hair! I've never had a bad cut and you know it's a great one because it grows out so well, not looking like someone botched your locks. I don't bother getting detailed with instructions I can just say what length I'd like and what works or not as to bangs length etc and Dave just knows

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Gulick Brothers for years. I have been to many salons across the country, and this one is THE best! I go to Chuck, who is amazing! Chuck can replicate virtually any haircut or color. I bring in a picture, and I walk out with exactly what I asked for. The prices are also terrific. I think the whole team is wonderful, and I would HIGHLY recommend Gulick Brothers Hair!

Beautiful salon with adequate parking list luxurious Landscaping in the front of the salon, giving it the feel of a tropical Island Getaway at first glance. Very clean and well maintained. The service was more than excellent I've never had such thorough attention by a stylist. Very professional and I can't wait to go back I almost wish my hair would grow faster.

Its all good untill they make a mistake and you ask for it to be corrected. Then you get bad aditude as if its your falt the color washed out in 1 week. The prices are very high but the quality sure is not. Too old school, great if your over 50 and only want a hair cut. This is my first review and its completely true. I will never go back. bad aditude is just bad business.

I am so grateful that they could get me in last minute on a Saturday. I got a full color and cut and it was exactly what I wanted. I'm not good at communicating what I want done with my hair but Chuck somehow understood completely. The color looks great, he fixed a terrible cut that I had, and my hair isn't fried or destroyed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming unlike a lot of other salons. I will definitely be back and recommending others to go!

I've been going to Dave Jr. for a few years (on and off). I just saw him this past Saturday (09/13/14) and I am never disappointed in his work! The first time I ever went to him about 4 years or so ago, I didn't even know what I wanted to do, so I just let him work his magic, and that he did! He gave me the cut & style I'd been wanting for years but just was never able to explain it! Dave Jr was my first hair stylist at age 15. After 9 years of working for a different salon, seeing more stylists then I can count and never being completely satisfied with my color & cut, I decided to go back to Gulick Bros. Best hair decision I've made! Dave not only remebered who I was but he knew exactly what I wanted as soon as I sat in his chair! He takes his time & makes you feel important, not to mention he does THE BEST blonde I've ever had! So glad to be back at Gulick and I'm pretty positive I'll never leave again :)

I had my hair cut for the first time by Pete Gulick today and it was fanominal! He couldn't of done a better job. I felt very comfortable and welcome the whole visit. Pete is a not only a fabulous hair stylist but a friendly person who has the best advice about hair! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great quality hair cut.

Dave Jr. has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. I'm the kinda gal who will come in and ask what looks best, so basically, Dave gets to do whatever he wants. Seriously, this is the way to go, since I come out with the most amazing cuts and beautiful color. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the cut and color.

Update: I have since stopped coming here to have my hair done. Chuck was always good to me and his prices were very fair (as stated), but after awhile I just wasn't as happy with my hair as I was before. He styled my hair on the old side (bubble -y....) and when I left I felt like I had to restyle my hair....I decided that I needed a change BUT I would still recommend this place if you are looking for a good quality cut for a good price.

I've been going to Gulick Bros. Hair since about 1984... had all 3 brothers cut my hair... & they're ALL GOOD!! Plus they're just 'nice guys!'
Cuts are reasonable & as far as I'm concerned... the Best In Town!
