All staff members are CPR certified, licensed in their area of expertise, and keep current in the latest technologies. Dr. Lew received her B.S. in Physiology from University of California, Davis and her doctorate from University of Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco.
After completing an additional one-year general practice residency, she started her private practice in the Cupertino/Sunnyvale area. Dr. Lew is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Santa Clara County Dental Society, Peninsula Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Northern California Academy of Dental Research.

Services
Preventative care is a foundation of dentistry. The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist regularly - usually about twice yearly - for full cleanings, examinations, and consultations for potential treatment. Professional dental cleanings help. Dental sealants are clear coatings applied to the surfaces of a child's molars to prevent the development of tooth decay.
We welcome you to our office conveniently located in Sunnyvale, California near Hwys 280 and 85. For your convenience, we offer early morning and late afternoon appointments and can accommodate multiple family members at the same time. We kindly request a 48-hour notice if you are unable to make your appointment.
We are a family practice with a passion for helping others restore their oral health and well-being. We have been fortunate and privileged to have helped many wonderful families for over 30 years. We enjoy working with people of all ages including seniors and children starting at the age of 2 years.
Donating dental related supplies to churches, food pantries, the homeless and those who participate in mission trips. During Children's Dental Health Month in February, we invite our local schools to come and visit our office. This is a great way to introduce young children to a dental office with a "hands-on" experience. By providing them with this knowledge, it promotes a positive dental visit and a lifetime of good oral health in a fun way.

Had a chip of a tooth break off again today, and Dr Lew fit me into the day's schedule so that I didn't have to tough it out through the weekend. I went in; the staff was ready for me; Dr Lew cemented in the piece of tooth I brought her, and I was out quickly, without pain, and with my weekend without a tooth problem. She's the best!

Dr Lew is amazing.I was brought into office with an urgent dental issue. She fixed my problem quickly and got me on my way. She has a great caring attitude, listens to your concerns, has great suggestions and doesn’t make you feel guilty as some other dental professionals seem to do. Her staff is also outstanding, they are friendly and helpful. Pretty much everything you would want or hope to have in your dental professional. Highly recommended!!!

Came in on my lunch hour for my 6 month cleaning. Was seen on time, cleaning was quick and painless. In and out within 45 minutes. The staff are great, always friendly and helpful. It's hard to find a trustworthy dentist, but Dr. Lew and her team are excellent! I've always had anxiety going to other dentists, but I feel comfortable here. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I have been the patients with Dr. Lew for more than 20 years. Dr. Lew and her office are one of my favorite doctors' destinations-it is hard to believe my happy feelings about the dentist's office, but it is true. Dr. Lew is an impeccable professional of high integrity and character. I never second guess Dr. Lew and her medical recommendations. Earlier today, Dr. Lew was working on my crown- it was a comfortable and pain free experience. The office and the staff do go out of their way to accommodate to your schedule and make you feel at ease and very welcomed.

We moved to Sunnyvale several years ago from a neighboring city up the peninsula. I never changed dentists and kept commuting up the peninsula to visit my former dentist for several years after moving to the south bay. A friend from my daughter's soccer team highly recommended Dr. Lew. I figure I would give it a go and made an appointment with Dr. Lew for a teeth cleaning and check-up. This morning I visited Dr. Lew's office for a cavity that was under a crown at the back of my mouth. Needless to say, it was not your standard filling replacement. Dr. Lew was extremely gentle and Marcy assisted in the procedure. The entire process was quick and without any complications. I recommend Dr. Lew to anyone who needs dental work!!

I've been going here for over 15 years and wouldn't go anywhere else! When I was a kid this place made me feel comfortable and I actually looked forward to going to the dentist! There are even great views from most of the rooms and most recently I watched hummingbirds fly just feet in front of me during my last check-up. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, and make me feel at home every time I go. Would highly recommend!

Dr Lew has treated my girls for fifteen years. She and the hygienists are great with the kids: a gentle style but always keeping it real. I give Dr Lew much of the credit for their oral health.
I switched to Dr Lew about six years ago and deeply regret not making the switch sooner. Good equipment, great skills, and a meticulous attention to detail and the health and beauty of their patients.

Was refered to a oral surgeon to have a root canal was quoted almost three thousand dollars, no insurance of course to pricey for me!
As far as a dentist not to sure what to say!.. All staff seems to be nice
any way needless to say went else where and had tooth removed and was told that being it was a tooth in the back it wasn't needed so had it pulled at the low cost of two hundred dollars by and oral surgeon big difference in price!.. and I could afford that! oh another note the oral surgeon they refered me to would not accept payments go figure gesh!!.. I have to wonder is it all about

I saw Dr. Lew for 13 years, and recently left the area. I miss her. She is the only dentist I've had who I couldn't wait to visit. Her attention to detail is excellent. One of my six(!) crowns came back from the lab slightly off color, and she made the crown fabricator come over while I was in the chair to ensure that it was done properly. On another occasion, a slight swelling prompted her to call a nearby oral surgeon who dropped what he was doing and came over for a quick consult at no charge. It's clear that she has earned the respect of her peers.

After 10+ years with Dr. Lew, I can only say that the best keeps getting better! She and her staff provide that rare combination of excellent professional skill and dedicated, caring service. My appointments always start promptly and I've never felt rushed during my time "in the chair". There's always time for friendly conversation, although I still haven't figured out how to talk without moving my mouth. :)

I've been a patient of Dr. Lew's office for the last 10 years! I always tell my friends that although it's important to have a trustworthy mechanic, it's more important to have a trustworthy and ethical dentist! You can always replace a car, but not your pearly whites (without an almost prohibitive expense)!
I hate needles in my mouth and the thought of dental work makes me cringe, but my experiences at Dr. Lew's office are always pleasant and pain-free. She has an angel's touch and her staff is always amazingly nice and accomodating! I recommend that you give

I've recommended Dr. Lew to people for years and each time someone takes my advice Dr. Lew's office sends me flowers! Yeah! Pretty much everyone I know and work with is now a patient here. I love getting the flowers but that's not why I recommend

Dr. Lew is a great dentist. She is very compassionate and has a great 'bed-side' manner, regularly checking in with me during a procedure etc and she is very patient. She is conservative when suggesting procedures, in that she presents what needs to be done and in the most cost effective manner.
Dr. Lew is also very accommodating when it comes to scheduling and customer services, and I have posed some significant challenges which she always graciously addressed. I moved up to San Francisco 5 years ago and I still go to her office for care.

Feb 2009 Update: We no longer live in the area, and this office is totally out of our way. Takes a very long time to get there, but it is still the only dental office we go to!
We found Dr. Lew's office when my son's preschool class came to Dr. Lew's office on a field trip. Lucky for us!

Dr. Diane Lew has been my dentist for several years. She is knowledgable, thorough, patient, gentle, and calm. If I have any dental issues, she does a good job of letting me know what my options are and the consequences of each. She is non-judgemental and listens well. Dr. Lew is excellent with kids as well.
