Since we are not a franchise, we can and do listen and respond to our customers' needs without dealing with corporate bureaucracy. Our philosophy is that your vehicle is always going to represent an expense, and our job is to help you manage that expense well, and keep unexpected costs to a minimum.

I can't thank everyone at Burien Japanese enough. My Toyota Camry had quite a few issues and it wasn't running correctly. They were able to fit me in quickly and listened when I explained what the issues were. They explained every aspect of the repairs and the timeline to me and I was able to ask many questions without feeling ridiculed or annoying.
They saved me a lot of money and tears and have worked with me to help get my old car taken care of. They are fantastic and I will recommend them to everyone I know. I was recommended to them by two different friends who don't know each other. I've been going for years and they are wonderful.
This last time the estimate was high and we were nervous about paying it and the guy directed us to the web site so we could download pretty good coupons and we saved over a hundred dollars.

Just moved from New Mexico, and needed a new regular auto shop to take my car to (2004 Infiniti G35). That's always intimidating especially for someone who loves their car as much as me! My car had a cold start issue, and was getting worse by the day. Most shops were booked up, and I knew if I waited even one more day I might not be able to make it to work. Japanese Auto to the rescue!
This shop went above and beyond. Found out my throttle body was bad. Basically my car couldn't breathe properly...kinda a big deal! Not a cheap fix, but after asking many questions, and getting satisfying

What a great place, they know their stuff, pleasant, professional and VERY honest! I took my Scion there for a problem, after diagnostics were done, they called and informed my car was under Toyota's extended warranty, to take it there and have them take care of it.

My appointment today for lube, oil, and filter along with possible cabin filter and air filter took 2 1/2 hrs. When I made the appointment for my first visit there nothing was said about having to wait to these common items above. I was told because I was newand even though I gave the man who booked the info on vehicle the week before, I had to wait for the parts to be delivered to the shop. I was never informed that my first time could take longer because of this even when I checked in. Thankfully, I did not have to be anywhere right after. Do I want to go back? Not sure. Once parts delivered

The crew diagnosed my problem and saved me unecasary headaches trying to fix the problem myself. Top notch work at a fair price. You can always rely on these guys. As the old saying goes an honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold. All that and a bag of chips.

I have taken my Acura, Toyota and now Subaru here for service for 20 years and have always had a good experience. Service is easy to schedule and they will fit you in if it is unexpected. When something was covered under warranty they told me I could get it done for free at a dealership but I had to go to 3 dealerships to find one that would honor the warranty and not charge me. I think prices are always fair and they keep good records on my vehicle. I enjoy seeing the managers at the front desk on all my visits.

Recently went to Burien Japanese Auto Service for the first time after for a broken interior door handle latch after seeing only positive reviews online. They inspected the damage, gave me an honest evaluation and options to proceed. Their pricing was competitive and their customer service is top notch. They didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need and got the job completed based on the timeline they gave me. I will be a repeat customer. :)

My issue with these guys comes down to their inability to give me a reliable quote.
I could change the spark plugs on my car myself but I figured I'd pay to save the hassle if the price was right. I quoted around and these guys gave me a quote for roughly $250. I got it online and I called in to confirm it, twice. I was clear about the year, make, model and engine and was told that would be the rough price. So I brought it in and it took them less than an hour to call me and tell me the price would actually be

Service here is really great! They are very nice and give quick service. So glad I found this place because before them I would take my Subaru into a dealer and they'd always rip me off. Every time I'd go in for a simple check up at the dealer they always found something wrong that cost $500. Here, they are very honest, straightforward, and no BS. Lucky that I found a great place to get my car serviced.

I came in with check engine light and they tried to replace my whole fuse box and battery. When I asked if my fuse box is blown why am I not experiencing any electrical issues. The mechanic to used a multimeter on my spare fuses to show that there was no connection. This place almost robbed me of $1000+ in phony repairs. Fortunately I talked to someone who said the check engine light on Nissans comes on after at a certain mileage.

I totally neglected my car, and burnt up all the oil, every drop.
I booked online and got an appointment the next day. They handled me promptly when I got there. They found the root cause of the weird problem I was getting that was secondary to the underlying problem of no oil. They test drove it to make sure nothing else was wrong.
They were polite and easygoing telling me I'd totally neglected my car.

A huge shout out to Burien Japanese; not only did they keep my Prelude going for 22 years, I've been having problems with my alternator and took it in for a replacement (credit card sweating). They said they couldn't duplicate the problem and that I didn't need a new one, and saved me the $485 cost instead of just taking my money.
This weekend I finally noticed the problem only happened when it was wet out and they found I'm missing an undercarriage water shield. Part ordered and my problem will be solved next week! It's so nice to have a place that does good work

I've never given a one star review, and don't even like the idea of it, but for this shop, I have to.
Last Summer, my car's AC was out. I was out of town when an AC Specialist told me that the compressor was out, and that it'd be best to get it replaced when I was back home because parts wouldn't get to him on time before my departure.
I took it to Burien Japanese and let the person I spoke with know all this. He said he thought it would just need a charge of freon. Even after rebutting by letting him know that an AC specialist already diagnosed the problem, he still

I've used them a few more times now and it's an excellent shop. Extremely good service, and if you know you have a bigger repair they have free loaner cars you can request ahead of time. (Normally older model cars, but always in good running order.) There's a car rental place next door if they don't have any available, but that's never happened.
They've always been very fair in their pricing, the service has always fast and they will talk you through any questions you have. Simple shop, good prices, excellent service.
