A Great Workout As an aging multi-sport athlete I was plagued by overuse injuries until I dedicated myself to 2 pilates workouts per week with Rana. Training with Rana has allowed me to focus on my endurance training while the pilates routines continue to strengthen my core and supporting muscle groups.

Welcome to Agility Studio located at 6102 Avenida Encinas Suite E. We are inside of the Gaspar DPT Sports Performance center and behind the YMCA Gymnastics center. For over 10 years, Agility Studio has been the top 3 pilates studios in San Diego and remains the studio athletes train at and physical therapists refer to.
Pilates Fitness targets the whole body while making you solid, streamlined, and agile! Many of our clients report feeling a buzz of energy right away that adds to motivation and confidence while the body feels, moves, and looks better. For anyone who wants to work or play without pain, our style is based on high energy fitness and maximum output with correct form.
Lead prenatal trainer, Rana Kennedy has taught prenatal Pilates since 2007. She is the owner of Agility Studio and innovator of the prenatal Pilates fitness program. She is a DONA trained doula, a prenatal massage, yoga, and Pilates instructor and joyfully teaches a majority of the prenatal training.
Because there is a need in the vast world of exercise for specific personally tailored corrective excercise programs that can be taken around the world with you or done in the privacy of your own home, we have made that available for you. Our office is located inside of Gaspar Physical Therapy and we work closely with the physical therapists after patients are cleared to do "next step" exercise programs.
Pilates Fitness uses the best of pilates, functional fitness, and therapeutic alignment for pain relief, improved posture, a strong core, flexibility, and whole body toning. Pilates, prenatal, back pain, weight loss, strength training, post rehab are our specialties. We also teach spinning and yoga.

I have been going to Agility Studio for almost five years. I signed up when I was feeling frustrated about not finding a work out regimen that worked for my specific needs. I was diagnosed with MS eight years ago and have issues with fatigue and balance so a lot of workouts are not suitable for me.
I wanted to give Pilates a try and I am not exaggerating when I say it changed the way I think about a work out. Rana is amazing- the class sizes are small and very hands on and she modifies every class to work for whatever issues you may be dealing with that day. I love that I can attend the same class

I've been training with Rana at Agility Studio for a few years now; pre baby, throughout my entire pregnancy, and post baby. I genuinely love Rana's style of Pilates -- it feels a little more "athletic" to me; and has transformed my muscles to be less tight and more elongated. Rana is also so knowledgeable about nutrition, and self care... you get the "whole package" when training with her. I've attended classes and semi-privates, all of the sessions are beneficial. I wouldn't go anywhere else for Pilates, you'll agree when you attend, too! :)

I recently celebrated my one year anniversary as a student of Rana's in her Agility Studio. I say "student" because, even though I am an emergency physician, Rana has taken the time to teach me so much about the musculoskeletal system, and how important it is to use proper form while exercising to prevent injury and increase physical well-being. Rana's constant attention to detail allows her to make frequent modifications to our regimen and adapt her workouts to each individual client.

I’ve worked out with Rana for 3 years now, through both of my pregnancies, and am more fit and have more stamina than I did before two kids! She is attuned to the needs of the pregnant and post-natal body and is able to alter workouts to be effective, but still safe and comfortable. I feel like the work I did with Rana really helped me bounce back more easily after both pregnancies. She pushes without being pushy, is positive, and supportive. You won’t find a more dedicated trainer!

I have been going to Agility Studio for over 4 months and have improved my flexibility, stamina and have lost weight. I started with private instruction but am now going to group classes almost every day. The best part is that group class sizes are 6 or less people. I love the options of spin, yoga and pilates each week. Rana Kennedy, the owner really cares about each client.

After just 5 weeks of Pilates at Agility Studios, I am committed! I am already seeing significant improvement in my posture and muscle tone. I missed two sessions over the Thanksgiving holiday and guess what?? That nasty neck pain and migraine returned.
