Spaying or neutering your pet can help them live a longer, healthier life, minimizes behavior problems and helps control the population of unwanted pets. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, nearly 12,500 puppies are born in the United States each hour. Spaying or neutering your pet eliminates unwanted litters, We also perform local anesthetwhich contributes to thousands of euthanasia procedures and millions of stray animals.
Deciding to euthanize a pet is an agonizing process. You will likely experience a wide range of complicated emotions as the time comes. It is important that you are prepared for this event and deal with the feelings as they come. There is great fear in not knowing what will occur on the day of the euthanization.

We have had multiple animals receive care through the years at this facility. The staff has shown caring and concern for all of them, especially each vet we have seen. Penny now sees Dr. Pinchke and he is patient and thorough with her. As veterinary care has progressed, so has the financial burden that comes with the cost of expensive tests/blood work. There are times, I feel that some tests are encouraged but not really necessary. Senior discount is appreciated. I would hate to think that many pets are not getting adopted due to the rising costs of vet care.

I do not understand the bad reviews! The doctors and staff have always been extremely helpful and understanding. They have been wonderful for our dogs over the past 30 years we've been coming here. They work with us and our schedules, and I've never had an issue with them. They just caught a kidney issue with our dog and now we are on the way to making her life better because of the caring of the doctors and staff.

I am so utterly angry, disappointed and hurt by the treatment (or more correctly the lack of treatment) that my darling TAM's brother (Talon Ruder) is getting from Dr Eric Pienschke. Talon is a sweet, gentle giant (Great Dane/Irish Wolfhound) who should NOT be subjected to living in excruciating pain in his final days on earth, simply because a so-called caregiver doesn't want to step out of his own comfort zone. Shame on them for being so utterly callous. Give Talon the pain relief he so deserves....he has been a patient at this Veterinary office long enough that they should feel compassion

Our family cat required end of life services. The staff was very thoughtful, compassionate, understanding, and their services were affordable. When our family entered the building, the receptionist immediately took us to a private room. She took all of our information and informed us of what to expect in the process. The vet agreed that with her age and poor health we were making a sound decision for her and she was lucky have such a loving family to care for her. Afterwards, we were permitted to stay with her as long as we wanted. When we were ready, a technician gently swaddled her before taking

Have been taking my pet to Dr Cheeks at Leader Heights for over a year and was extremely happy with them until this morning. Have a pet with constant diarrhea for last 12 hours. She is an allergy prone pup with a very touchy intestinal system. Phoned them this am with the fact she was up all night and out every 2 hours with diarrhea. I was concerned and needed help either verbal or by having her seen. The girl who answered the phone could have cared less. Dr Cheeks not available til next week. No one else available. I was to bring in a urine sample and they would look at it. What does

Great practice! Always easy to get an appointment and love that they have later evening appointments on certain days of the week. We usually see Dr Penchky and he's fantastic! He has a way with cats and is a very talented vet. Compassionate and caring, but also very professional. Everyone at the practice is top drawer. We feel very privileged to call them our vets!

Horrible. I've had pets my entire life and worked the front desk at a vet's office, and have loved most of the vets I have taken my pets to and the vets I worked with, because generally people working with animals seem to enjoy their job and look forward to it.
When I walked in, the staff was cold. Not unfriendly, but not friendly. They ignored my pet completely, which has never happened at any office I've witnessed. Even when the tech took us back she did not say "hi" or pet or acknowledge my dog.
When we went back, the rooms look stark and depressing. The vet came

I've been going here for many years and the vets and staff are all wonderful, caring people. I have several cats and two dogs who are all treated very well by the vets and vet techs and sometimes the pets are not so nice back to them. I highly recommend them to anyone especially Dr. Cheek. They do overbooked at times but that is the nature of this business.

I have been going to Leader Heights Animal Hospital for about 5 years now and couldn't be happier with the staff and the services they have provided me. They stayed late for my during a kitty crisis, they offered me different solutions to a severe eye issue my cat was having and even managed to get a feline ophthalmology specialist on the phone for me to arrange emergency surgery for my poor kitty who's eye fell out. (She is happy and healthy now).
Once I was tempted to try a new vet after seeing another local vet that was super modern and updated and fancy looking, and I regret that

I have been using this vet office for three years now because a friend recommended it to me. I have had very good experiences with their office.
I completely disagree with the other reviewer's statement that the practice is expensive. On the contrary, they are very reasonably priced. I have two cats and they typically give me a discount for some charges on the second cat. I live on a limited budget, so if I can afford it, anyone can. The biggest reason I like this practice is that they do not try to pressure or guilt you into procedures or products you do not need. If your pet has an

I've had two separate, but very positive experiences with Leader Heights.
Three years ago I found a small kitten asleep on my tire in the parking garage where I work. I thought the poor thing was dead, but he wasn't - just extremely weak. It was 6pm on a Friday and no vet office I called the next morning would see him - the cold-hearted comments I received really damaged my faith in humanity that day...until I called Leader Heights Animal Hospital, who took him right away, and treated him with such care - and I wasn't even a client. (He now lives with my sister in GA.)

Expensive, frustrating, and with a turnstile for employees who come and go - this is a place I'd suggest you avoid.
Most veterinarian's offices are areas of controlled chaos. Among other deficiencies, this one lacks control.
I left - moved my pets and my business altogether - when I had to put my buddy - my cat - to sleep due to cancer. We'd been treating it, but the time had come and the medication for pain stopped working suddenly.
He and I sat in their waiting room for 45 minutes - him wailing and me crying - until some kind man gave us his slot for an appointment.
