If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership. Fish can be very rewarding as pets, and you just may be surprised about how much fish actually interact with their owners. Thanks to advancements in veterinary care, today's cats can live well into their teen years.
We value our clients' experience at Elizabethtown Animal Hospital. If your pet or animal is currently a patient, please feel free to complete the following Client Experience Questionnaire. The Questionnaire is in Adobe Acrobat format, and requires the free Acrobat Reader to view.

Janet Distler is the most unprofessional vet I have ever dealt with. For starters, when Janet initially walked into the room, she never introduced herself to us as new customers. Instead, she proceeds to ask "Where are your masks?". She told us to "give her space" in a rude and demanding tone because we were not wearing masks. When we were checking out, I noticed the vet tech had actually taken her mask off. If we are pushing masks, lets do it for everyone, Janet.
Going further into the visit, (which was rushed by Janet) she shushed my husband when he was asking a question about the dog. And told

Janet is the best veterinarian my 14 year old golden retriever Simba has ever seen ! She’s caring and extremely thorough ! Simba was in so much pain and I was beyond stressed and worried about his future ! Janet and the whole entire team worked and spent time with me and him multiple times over a couple weeks figuring out which medicine was appropriate to help him be able to stand and walk due to arthritis. As well as a ear infection and hot spots that multiple drs over the years have tried to treat but never succeeded in keeping away ! She and her team are the absolute best! I live in Florida

Plenty of parking and kind people who treat your baby like their own! The perfect small town vet that gives personal attention to you and your fur baby. My Bengal cat Nikodemus has been going here for several years and although not always thrilled to be there they love him just the same! He does enjoy the country setting, exploring the large yard area in his harness and leash. I drive about a half hour to get there but it's worth it knowing my pets get the best of care.

My dog absolutely hates anyone cutting his nails, and although our visit was a similar experience- Jenna and Jill were quick to action and finished them within minutes. I was worried my dog would be a burden, but they laughed it off and I’m so thankful for their help.
Even after, they spent their time and offered some tricks to make it a better experience at home.
Knowledgeable and friendly!

When my regular vet would not get my dog in for a visit when she was bleeding from having Melanoma at her mouth the vet at E town animal hospital was very welcoming to see my little. Her medical experience and wonderful caring of pets shined and actually made me leave my vet and continue visiting her clinic, even though I had to drive an extra hour and ten minutes.Never during covid did she turn us away for not having time or staying late to see a patient like my old vet. Recently I had to put my precious little girl to sleep and I couldn't have asked for a kinder staff to take care of her and

Dr. Distler is one of the kindest hearts I’ve ever met. We have been a client and friend for 10 years. Never have a met a vet (and staff!) who are so dedicated to animals. They are so communicative and loving with their clients. My dogs became like family to them and I credit Dr. Janet with happily prolonging the lives of two of my beloved dogs, both of which were terminally ill. Dr. Janet helped us give our dogs, Lucy & Penny, an excellent quality of life and was not afraid to try anything to do so. We credit her with many, many more happy years to further than we were supposed to have with

Excellent service. Dr Distler is very compassionate and will do whatever she can to make your pet better. She has seen both my cat and my dog and she was wonderful with both of them. Very thorough and informative on what both my girls needed to improve their senior lives. Very kind and wonderful staff.
