Though the bulk of our clientele are primarily dogs and cats, we treat a large number of non traditional pets. We welcome these "exotic pets" and hope we can share some of our extensive knowledge and training with your scaly, furred, or feathered friends. Our goal is to EDUCATE our clients about their exotic pets, as the majority (over 80%) of medical issues we treat have primary underlying husbandry issues.
Pets are family members, too. With special care from their families and advances in veterinary medicine, pets are living longer, healthier lives. With increased activity and longevity, there is a need for physical rehabilitation. Our pets, just like us, should have the same opportunity to speed recovery, reduce pain and achieve optimum quality of life.
For many of us, the term stem cell brings to mind associations with hotly debated moral and ethical issues. There is, however, another side of stem cells and stem cell therapy. I am very excited to report that stem cell therapy has arrived in the veterinary arena without controversy or contest. The process uses stem cells collected from an adult body's own fat.
We have used laser for many medical conditions, including arthritis pain, degenerative joint and disc diseases, hip dysplasia, wound healing, non-resolving ear infections, and burns to name a few. If you feel that your pet may benefit from our therapy laser, give us a call for a consultation. Laser light is highly absorbed by skin and subcutaneous tissues, allowing deep penetration of the light to the level of injury.

They were kind caring and understanding when we had to put our dog down. My regular vet would not even attempt to fit us in even though my sweet boy was quickly declining. Citi Animsl Hospital got me in immediately and stayed late for us. We switched our other dog to their care. Thank you thank you thank you!

Citi Animal Hospital is AMAZING! This is where I take my pets for their check ups. Last night my cats eye became swollen and wasn’t adjusting to the light like it should. This morning I went in at 8 am in a worry and they took him in right away and looked him over! I was so relieved that they were able to fit him in even though it was a walk in! I LOVE this place! I always feel like my pets are taken care of. Very lovely people!

Dr. Koothan and the staff here at Citi Animal hospital are fantastic. I had an emergency with my toy poodle. I was treated with compassion and care from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was quick to respond and reacted with appropriate urgency. Not only was the initial visit reassuring the follow up care has been second to none. I know my fur babies are in capable caring hands at citi. Emergency vet care is expensive but Dr. Koothan and his staff are considerate of budget and explain all details prior to performing services. Dr. Koothan explains everything and gives a realistic prognosis

Back in May 2021 this hospital saved my last 2 Chihuahua puppies. I lost 5 fur babies to that horrible disease called PARVO 😔😢 I only had 2 left and needed medicine right away. One was positive and the other negative but he would be positive shortly. They 2 my babies and saved them. It was a 2 day procedure and they treated my fur babies like they were their babies. I told them I just lost my daddy in April 2021 and losing all my fur babies was making me highly depressed. My daddy loved dogs just like me. In fact since I was born we always always had dogs. This clinic worked us in as a new patient 1 hour before they closed after our previous vet would not help us. Our senior dog was in a lot of pain due to a GI issue. Previous vet told us to take him to Vet ER. Like most people we were not prepared to spend $1000 at the ER. Dr. K and staff were very professional and attentive to our dogs needs. No tests were preformed without discussion of cost first. I highly recommend Citi Animal Hosp.

Unfortunately, our experience with our pets here was terrible. Front desk staff is extremely unpleasant, rude and unprofessional. The practicing veterinarian and owner doesn't seem to have compassion for animals at all, his priority is definitely the almighty dollar. What a shame. Do not take your furbabies here. Ever. They will be treated as an inconvenience to the staff, and as a second thought by the owner and Dr. Not a good experience.
There are plenty of other places to get care for you animals in friendswood. Places that treat you and your pets with compassion and respect.
