Mon Kou Restaurant

I’ve been on a mission to find Chinese food like I grew up with years ago. It used to be a real treat! The take-out places almost always buy their food pre-made, like egg rolls. I have been coming here for a couple of months now because it’s actually a restaurant and, yes, they make most of your meal to order. It’s fresh. They make real oyster sauce. They serve tea. It’s really nice. Service was nice. It’s worth the extra drive to me to get real food rather than the garbage they serve at those take out places.

We ordered the Sesame chicken dinner combo and this is what we got: a sliced chicken breast with Sesame sauce poured over it. The chicken was so tough and dry it was pretty much inedible, I got through one piece and had to throw the rest away. I've never seen Sesame chicken made this way so we were sure it was a mistake. We called to ask for a refund and were told that's just how they make it and were only allowed the option of coming back for something else or a credit for another time. The manager seemed insistent that this was totally normal and that they do bread the chicken breast

First time here. We ordered the Seafood Supreme #22 dish.. do not recommend ! Mostly brown sauce and celery. Not even rice served with it! Sorry not going back.

Very fun to be inside (for me at least)
Little fountain and stuff all over the walls
Hot and sour soup was good. A little thicker than usual but I liked it still, just a little different.
Ton of parking and a lot of seating

Not many seem to appreciate your hard earned money at restaurants anymore.
I could feel major attitude the second I walked in. Like everywhere now People pick who they like.
Tried to have a conversation just had a blah attitude..used to be great what happened?
Food was ok had a stomach ache later..douches!
You should be ashamed of yourselves!

This use to be the place to go. They really have gone down hill. The prices have shot up, and they give you less food. A few people have told me they won't be going back . I still think they have the best fried rice around , last night , we got the house lomein. It used to come in a box overflowing. Now it comes in a small plastic container. Before it had large pieces of meat and shrimp. Also had lobster, now you get tiny pieces of meat , baby shrimp and no lobster. Sorry but I think I'm done with them too.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I have nothing but positive remarks to make of this establishment. The chicken wonton soup was loaded with veggies and absolutely delicious. The spring rolls were crispy, flavorful, and well prepared. The cocktails (I tried 2) were both flavorful and not watered down. Quality cocktails. The entree was delicious, cooked very well, tasty as heck, and the presentation of the dishes was very well executed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I believe in you get what you pay for, and I would gladly pay for the food from here. Definitely recommend if you have

32 bucks for 2 dinners where plastic bowls were half filled. Granted food is good but if you saw the size of the plate you'd be disappointed too. 12 dollar plate each at best.

Quaint Chinese restaurant with a nice dark, cool atmosphere. Friendly staff, good food and a selection of awesome cocktails to choose from. The menu is pretty big, a lot to look at. They have a good size fully stocked bar. Prices aren’t bad. Their duck sauce is to die for!!

Chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner with my family because I have always loved coming here but never again! Our experience tonight was absolutely awful, this place does not accommodate well for large parties whatsoever. I have always loved the food regardless of the slow service but tonight has truly changed my mind about the place and I will no longer come here.

Made a reservation earlier in the day for 14 people. Our waitress received absolutely no help and also was waiting on the entire side of the dining room we were all sitting in. Food came out sporadically over the time span of

Pu Pu platter for two was good, i like the fire. atmosphere is average but they have cool light displays which is fun. crab rangoon s are pretty good but kind of expensive in general

I was busy running around yesterday, and didn't feel like going home to cook. I wasn't sure of what I was in the mood to eat, and then passed by Mon Kou restaurant in S. Attleboro, MA. I hadn't had Chinese food in a little while, and the building was very nice, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I have had Chinese food across the United States, some good, some not. But, I would have to say "hands down" that Mon Kou was the WORST food I have ever had! I had to throw it away!!!
I ordered beef fried rice, which was literally a bowl of mush. Egg foo young which had no flavor

I Have been going to this place for years, I always have the best service.Drinks and food are amazing.Pricing is portions are good.They always treat me with the highest standard of service.
They remember your name with to me means alot. Even through Covid. They haven't missed a beat as far as I concerned..
I wish them well,And if you are thinking of going there and trying them out you should,Enjoy.

I ate at this restaurant on January 22, 2021. The atmosphere of the restaurant is of a Polynesian flare. It's fitting for the cuisine.

I ordered the pork chow mein combination plate, which was served with an egg roll, pork fried rice, and 3 boneless chicken fingers; this plate cost $12.25. I asked for the chow mein to be cooked Chicago style and the restaurant gladly obliged -- they did charge a .50 cent fee for doing so. I love their pupu platter. They have the best hot and sour soup I've ever had!! I can't get hot and sour soup anywhere else!

The chicken wings were amazing! Perfection. Big juicy wings, crispy on the outside.. hot and juicy on the inside and NO PINK! Cooked through-out. We got the pu pu platter and the wings stole the show. The spare ribs were 90% fat.. pass. Everything else was fine.

I had my first Mai Tai ever here. First of all I was expecting more flair from a Tiki Bar cocktail. Disappointing. No aromatics here. Just a normal glass. Extremely strong too. Was there any lime juice at all?

Consistent "by the water" Tiki theme throughout the restaurant but it looks like they ran out of money

The Chinese food is soo good! I hate that it's so far from me! I love that I know what I'm getting they always meet my expectations. I got the beef teriyaki & chicken finger combo with pork fried rice. I also get their house made duck sauce on the side it's so good!

My bf and I stopped in late one night after not getting a table elsewhere and I'm glad it worked out that way!
The drinks were good. The food was great and can I just say I WILL BE BACK FOR THOSE CRAB RANGOONS! They were seriously the best I've ever had. Very garlicky which I love.
They are open till 2am on Saturdays too which was a huge plus.

I literally only came here because the place up the street was too packed for the pay per view boxing match and nowhere else was serving food at midnight. I did come here years ago and it wasn't that good, so I wasn't expecting much, but that was almost 10 years back, so I had to give it another try before I completely write it off. Everything I ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly and great portion sizes. Just so good!

I'm guessing by the reviews I read prior to coming here it almost looked like this place is only good during certain days of the week or when a certain cook

A landmark to the locals with their amazing inner and outer decorated decor, including the famous multi-color bubble walls, and just as amazing service. The food exceeded our expectations and you will like these prices. We did not indulge but our friends did in a scorpion bowl and it was awesome according to them. Swing bye today and I can promise that you will enjoy your experience as well as take a box home as the portions 9n the combination plates are large!

The server was very helpful , but certain things were just out of his hands. The food was cold even when we sent it back 2 times . Maybe if it was cooked a bit more it would have tasted better , but my party of 6 had a hard time finishing the meal. My niece who isn't a picky eater spit out the food. The only thing I really enjoyed was the rice , beef strips , and tea.
