Colonel Willard Blackinton was a prominent industrialist and financier in America's early days. The colonel was born in 1800, son of William Blackinton, an early settler of the Attleboro area. In 1850, Blackinton commissioned a home to be built for his two sons and their families. The Greek revival style was a favorite of the time, reflecting the elegance and stately homes constructed in the mid 19th century.

Enjoyed a fabulous brunch with four of my friends on Sunday. The food was excellent and we had a leftovers that we were happy to bring home. There was a live music that was lovely and was soft enough that it didn't interfere with conversation. The tables were well-spaced and the room was beautiful. We'll definitely return.

The Colonel Blackinton Inn is a spot I have patroned the past few years. The ambiance of this establishment is unmatched, providing a cozy, historical, and elegant atmosphere. The food is excellently prepared as well- always fresh and plated beautifully. The last time I went here I had an excellent waiter named Bernard- he was extremely attentive and personable. Will always come back for high quality atmosphere, service, and food!

We, all three of us, enjoyed our meals, appetizers and desserts and had a great time. I don't just give out 5's you must be the best of the best, that being said I will be back because I enjoyed my dining experience and I want to try your Brunch. All your help were great. This was our first time and we weren't in any hurry and your help handled it greatly. I have many years experience as a cook. I Will be looking forward to seeing that 5 out of you.

WOW. This is my favorite restaurant in Massachusetts. The appetizers were incredible. Even the bread was amazing- crispy, warm and flavorful. The oil is super high quality. My spinach and goat cheese salad with salmon was perfect! The portions are great, the service was flawless. The atmosphere is charming and unique. I would recommend to anyone!

Had an 8pm reservation tonight to celebrate my birthday. The service was good, but unfortunately the food was subpar at best. My husband and I ordered the steak with lobster and stuffed shrimp. The steak which we ordered to be cooked medium was most definitely well done. It was chewy, fatty, and lacked any flavor. The sides which consisted of green beans and baked potato had absolutely no seasoning and just as the steak were plain and lacking flavor. The clams casino was over cooked. The sangria seemed to be a mix of juices with no alcohol. Overall the experience was very disappointing. It’s

I held a retirement celebration at their Carriage House last weekend. Our party had to change size at the last moment, but they were incredibly accommodating. Flawless and friendly and flexible service, anticipating needs before we knew we had them. Food was excellent, wine list offers a great variety of varietals and prices. The functions director, Kim, was clear and communicative throughout, and made sure we had a great time. I would definitely recommend this venue for any gathering of 15-25 people: just perfect!

Great service, consistently fresh and delicious food. Outstanding cocktails and apps. In the summer, during pandemic the outdoor spacing and set up with live music was a real mood booster, add in some filthy good dessert and you have a solid date night, it's not going to be rowdy as the crowd here tends to lean older, but if you not looking to do shots and dance on tables, the blackinton in will deliver.

So, my wife called and made a reservation for my birthday to have dinner. We had talked about going for a while. When we arrived, there was no parking (5:30 PM in November and no valet) so we pared in the CVS next door, not a good start. We were sat in one of the small room with 4 or 5 tables, near a window, and when I looked at the table and the chairs with arms there was no real way to sit at the table, we had to slide the chairs to the side, since there was another table behind me and no room to pull the chair back, and my wife had the wall behind her chair. This alone could be a whole story

Really Delicious Brunch. The brunch menu was small, but lunch was available when we went too. I got the breakfast skillet. It was awesome and a huge portion. Their brunch cocktails were top notch too. At my table we tried a Bloody Mary and a Bellini. We also got a peach Arnold Palmer. Everything was scrumptious.

Wanted to love it. The decor, our server were excellent. After the salad it went rather poorly. 1 hour 35 minutes for our entrees. Both entrees were poor quality. The steak was awful and the sides were worse. The risotto was crunchy and unflavored. My server did remove an appetizer to make up for it but the damage was already done. A 2 hour experience, a $125 bill and 2 very disappointed local customers

This was a quaint little B&B with a restaurant on premises. I had the baked haddock... it was sooo good. Our server was amazing and they just happened to be having a disco night event...
The ambiance was quiet and romantic. The food was amazing and the drinks were plentiful.
I'm sorry I didn't get any pictures.

Stopped here for a Sunday Night date night! Started with the lobster bisque, which I found to be unique but a little too salty. Points for the big pieces of lobster though! For an entree we got the Ribeye and the Lamb Special. The Ribeye was well cooked and a hearty portion, however the mashed potatoes that accompanied it were also overwhelmingly salty to me. If you get one thing here, let it be the Mac & Cheese!! We shared it as a side but I wish that I had just gotten it as an entree! So creamy and cheesy!! Lastly we got Crème brûlée as dessert! Great flavor but wish the top had been

I had made reservations for my boyfriends birthday. I had high expectations walking in because I had heard so many good reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by everything we had. The food was incredible and everything was cooked perfectly with a great balance of flavors. We will happily dine here again in the future.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner on the patio last week week. There was live music which was great. Although they did charge a $5 per person to sit in the patio and listen to the music which is a bit tacky I think especially seeing as it is a pretty expensive restaurant. I had the salad special with goat cheese and that was amazing my dinner was good not great. I had the lemon ricotta ravioli. My husband had the halibut and shrimp francqise and he said it was the best fish he'd ever had. I probably wouldn't sit on the patio again if we are there when there is live music as it was

Attended a baby shower for my niece yesterday brunch in the room off of the patio. The food was amazing. Caprese omelet was made to perfection the French toast that was offered looked amazing and tasted great my relatives said. Fresh fruit and cake was very good. There were stairs up to the dining area that they had a ramp for me to get into the room since I had ankle surgery and have to use a knee scooter to get around. I came from out of state to attend and I was happy that they could accommodate my needs and even going in front of me while I went up and down the ramp so I would feel safe doing

Before I say ANYTHING, let me say I was not involved with anything financially here, so price is not taken into consideration with this review.
My father had gotten married recently, and this is the venue they decided. Its was great enough a wedding was able to be planned in the first place considering the current situation of things, but this was a nice small local choice. It is a small but sweet venue perfect for what they wanted for a wedding; it wasn't extraordinarily big or fancy... but that's a positive thing. It was still a very pretty place; yhe layout of the building was interesting

So this Father's Day brunch was the second time I've come to this restaurant. The first time I didn't review it because I thought perhaps, it was me. Everyone raves about this restaurant.
I feel for an upscale establishment and pricing, the menu lacks any imagination and our food presented as last time, edible, nothing-too-special and slightly bland.
The reason to come here is definitely the ambiance. Also, I have not had a bad drink here yet.
This location would be wise to review Providence restaurants (just 20 minutes away) and the restaurant this place reminds me of in atmosphere
