All Friends Nature School is a San Diego based outdoor education program that uses natural areas as their "classroom". Children learn best through whole body sensory experiences and what a better way to do this than outside. Our mission is to give children a deeper connection and experience with nature by hands on experiential play based learning.
Services
Research supports the idea that young children, particularly ages 3-6, learn best through direct experiences with the world around them. Children have an innate sense of wonder and will learn basic environmental and natural science through natural exploration and discovery.
There are no set lesson plans per see, but each day provides, teachable moments by sorting and counting leafs, pine cones or other objects from nature, tracking animals, studying insects, birds, amphibians, changes of weather and foraging wild edibles.Children must be able to follow directions carefully, show respect towards other children and their teachers, and be able to communicate effectively.

Admission to All Friends is discretionary. We consider many factors while making the decision to offer a family admission (availability, date of application, open park day meeting, and other factors). We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. Download the Release of Liability Waiver, sign it, and bring it with you along with your $25 application fee.
