The new location is inconvenient. I decided to make an appointment anyway since I had a great hair cut from here before. I emailed since they didn't have a way to book appointment online. They never specified that they were booking me with a co-owner, which ended up costing $35 more than my last haircut here. I was not happy at all with my haircut. When I suggested ways to improve it, Heather was extremely condescending. I would not recommend the drive over to the new location for overpriced and disappointing haircuts.

Came here to have a double process lightening of my already blonde hair to a more platinum/ pearl shade. First off, it took FOREVER. I had to come in twice? & it ended up being several hundreds of dollars. I'm from NYC where prices at most reputable salons are pricey but I've never experienced anything this outrageous. The salon at Bergdorf's cost less with better results which brings me to second point: terrible job. My experience was quite a while ago but I felt inspired to write this review because I'm STILL growing out the aftermath of this terrible color job that left

Amirah was nothing short of amazing. She is the very first stylist I have EVER had in my 31 years of living who actually styled my hair curly for me, and without a curling iron! She educated me in how I can style my hair without an iron and without it frizzing and puffing up (something I have always struggled with), and showed me how.
I sent a picture of myself to my family, and they are all blown away by how great my hair looks (naturally curly). Thank you again, Amirah! And thank you to Ian who was so lovely and accommodating when I came in. You guys rock!

Carly was amazing, she made suggestions based on my hair and face shape and she was spot on. I did end up buying some of the product she recommended but I never felt pressured and the price for the haircut was totally reasonable. I'll be back next month.

I had a wonderful cut at Canary Salon! First time in they were super nice and very sterile precautions for entering made me feel all the more safe! I told my stylist Carly that all I knew is I wanted a haircut that people would say "HEY, Great Haircut" and she Absolutely delivered. Will be returning again!

This was my second trip (first was a consultation) and I went in knowing the process to expect. What I didn’t expect was loving the first process so much we stopped right there! I have been planning on doing a huge transition for a long time that takes more than one coloring to get it right and make sure my hair stays healthy. The first color was a deep reddish brown, the instant I saw it, my whole mindset changed, and I decided to keep this color for a while. She even made me a color depositing conditioner mask with the exact color for my hair. The cut was exactly where I wanted it. Everything

I have been going to canary salon for several years and in the past have had good experiences but today's visit was very disappointing and unprofessional. Their quality has dramatically reduced.

I came to Canary hoping for a cut and balayage. It had been 3 years since I'd had a haircut, so I knew it would be a bit of a challenge to get everything done. Right off the bat, Heather told me there wouldn't be enough time in my appointment to do a balayage/highlight. I was a little disappointed at first, but we went ahead with the cut.

I had an appt. with Rachel originally after reading great reviews about her. Unfortunately, she became very sick and I had to reschedule my appt. and when I went in I was met by Heather instead, which is fine! As I have read on Yelp that they are both talented stylists.
My hair is naturally very red and pretty curly. I have grown tired of the red just over the years as I've had the same thing for so long and was wanting to do a light blonde/strawberry balyage/ombre. I have done an ombre before but the blonde was yellowish

I recently moved to Seattle and I was so nervous about finding a new hair stylist. I have gone from brunette to blonde so I wanted to make sure I found a stylist who knew blondes and made me feel comfortable.
That is exactly what Heather did. I came in for a consultation and she told me about herself, her salon and some of her techniques. She was very open to questions and discussion which made me feel very comfortable.

I LOVE this salon! Carly and Heather are both fantastic, supremely talented, conversational, and intuitive. The salon is beautiful and just moved into to an even better space in this charming Broadway building. Super conveniently located, they also offer a discount if you work on Broadway! I've bartended on the hill since I've moved to Seattle and even though I don't live nearby anymore, I'm still always happy to make the trip to come back here. By far my favorite hair experience in Seattle.

I asked for a natural, blended chestnut brown balayage from Carly. She was super friendly and the process was great, but the end product was far from that. After the dye job/style the salon lighting was dim and I thought it looked fine. But after I got home, I realized it was slightly orange and VERY streaky. I'm really disappointed because the women at canary are so nice and friendly and they made an appointment with me pretty last minute with no problems! Unfortunately, the dye job was messy and not what I asked for.
