A bar is a place where many pour out their stories onto one another. Big stories and small stories, they are all parts of each storyteller. In between that sip on the margarita and that munch on the chip, there is that chapter about the one who slays his sales game.

Dipping into the salsa and guffawing heartily lead to more appetite for a story.
Nostalgic for that breakfast burrito? For that lush taco truck smell? For the smoke of an Al pastor fire? We know. Good tacos and chips are unforgettable. An authentic Mexican restaurant with a friendly staff often makes for a relaxing feast, and that table that one always sits in becomes a comfortable dock.
Sometimes one of the best ways to go about your Saturday night is to stay in and watch your favorite onscreen post-apocalyptic superheroes duke it out. And some of the best meals to go with those battles are Mexican! And a walk to a cantina on top of that could be the icing on the cake. Taco trucks and taquerias may not have all that, but Azteca does!

Super yummy and incredibly lovely staff. We visited with our cranky toddler and the waitstaff were super accommodating. We had the guacamole, enchiladas suizas, pollo con mole, and kid's meal taco plate. I loved my enchiladas, and while I don't eat meat, was really impressed with how adorable the presentation was on the chicken taco for my toddler. The place is fairly unassuming, but the food and service were solid.

Small cozy place. Due to the pandemic most customers get take out instead of dine in. My daughter and I decided to dine in for a change.

I was expecting a single Burrito but Got this Fabulous dinner platter! The steak was tender and had the right amount of char. Refried beans were creamy smooth and had that Jalapeno bite. I truly Enjoyed the meal

We went for Cinco de Mayo. It took over 3 hours to get our food(came at 6:30- main course served at 8:50.
And my food was awful. I had pork frajitas- it looked like the just threw scraps into it- of course, didn't come out sizzling- and had to change beans and tortillas, as they weren't what I requested- and I had to ask for the guacamole and sour cream - waitress asked me if I wanted them!
I wrote to them on their site (twice) and they never responded.
Here's a picture of the frajitas

Excellent margarita and very good chips & salsa. Ordered shrimp enchiladas ala crema which the menu describes as with a "light cream sauce". Asked our server if that was a white cream sauce and she said that it was actually a mole sauce with cream which sounded nice. The dish served did not have a mole cream sauce but instead had a pink sauce of crushed tomatoes & cream that tasted exactly like a pink pasta sauce and didn't work at all for enchiladas plus the dish was barely lukewarm with overcooked mushy Mexican rice. My dining partner ordered the enchiladas bandera which

Great food great service. Do not order through Seamless/grub hub with this restaurant, If you are gonna order online use Door Dash as per the restaurant. This poor restaurant is getting a bad reputation on late orders because certain delivery services are not pulling their weight. My delivery was marked an hour later (on seamless) so decided to go pick it up and they gave me extra chips and salsa even though the delivery was out of their hands. Very sweet people there!! And food is soooo good!

You haven't had guacamole until you'll had guacamole at Azteca -- it is the best! We buy pints of it for parties because it cannot be replicated.

Fast forward a year, We decided to give them another try (7 tries) and so far so good!! The place is cleaned up and they have someone taking orders that speaks clearly and carefully takes your order. We've tried their tacos, fajitas, burritos. The tacos have plenty of meat but the burritos are really light on meat. Their chicken and streak are a little dry and too well done but their Tinga and chorizo are good.

We used to go there a lot then they started getting our orders wrong and the place looked unclean so we took a long break but glad we decided to give them another try, now we order

Love the food. A bit limited but typical selection of alcohol, and they've been trying to grow the liquor offerings (it seems). Service is typically excellent. The salsa is SO good. Great little, local place. Places like this make Mt. Kisco what it is.

Was looking for some good Mexican food and was very disappointed. The sauce that comes with the Enchiladas Suizas is sweet and not spicy at all & they use that same sweet green sauce for the tacos. I left with no desire of returning & wouldn't recommend this place.

Nothing special but for a simple place it is fine. Authentic food at reasonable prices. Chips and salsa are good. The steak in the fajita was not so good, but plenty of onions and peppers. The retried beans were excellent, but only lukewarm. I like my beans hot not room temperature.

I would not go out of my way to go here, but if I am nearby and craving Mexican, I would go back.

I've been coming to this unpretentious, casual place run by kind people for over a decade and I get the same three dishes every time that make this five stars:

- the guacamole and homemade chips: insane goodness, freshness, packed with cilantro
- the shrimp in a butter, wine sauce
- the homemade chicken soup

5 stars!!!!!

Ordered take out :

El poblano - shell steak with shrimps
Enchilada de mole - 3 pieces one of each kind

Comments-
El poblano- steak is pretty good and size is big but you can forget about the shrimps it came with (2 pieces and they are tough, over cooked maybe?
Mole - the beef is soooo tough. Will not order this again . Chicken and cheese are just ok
Maduros - not greasy and pretty good

We are retuning customer. Staff are nice and place is clean.

Good authentic Hispanic food. Service was slow, but we enjoyed our food and the ambiance. Visited by many Hispanics as a local gathering so the food must be good right? If you are looking for Hispanic food in the small town of Mt Kisco stop by you will not be disappointed with the food.

I've eaten here twice. The first time it was okay, and then I decided to give another shot. I really wanted to love it and have it be my "go-to" place. The quality of the meat is gross. It's hard, burnt and fatty - I've had chicken and beef. If I had to go back I'd only eat off the vegetarian menu.

I've been going to this restaurant since I was in diapers. It is the most authentic, delicious Mexican food I've ever had! And I have to say, the new management has done a phenomenal job with serving fresh food. It 10x yummier than ever. Love the fact that they now serve piƱa coladas; which are a must have!!! Totally worth $9! It's not watered down.
Everything on the menu is just amazing. Easy to share.
The service is great.

Large selection. Excellent preparation. Authentic. Good portion size. I can not praise the food enough. Casual dining. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the decor and ambiance could be improved. A loud television is always on which also detracts from the atmosphere.

My dish was good. I had steak a la carbon.
My husband did not like his. the meat was very fatty.
The Guacamole made at the table as good.
Service was a little spotty. Had to ask twice for some things, but she wAs apologetic. Was. not extremely busy.
However, the table next to us had a kid coughing the whole night and never once covered his mouth. Then he was walking a round the restaurant and coughing. It was frustrating. I feel that a staff member should have asked the parents to have him sit, as we were pretty annoyed when he was standing over our table coughing. He was not a toddler.

This place has great authentic mexican food. I eat here at least twice a month just for the tacos. They're perfect. Served with just cilantro and onions. The birria (beef stew) tacos are my favorite. The meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual. There are always families inside who are happily eating with children running around.
It's a great spot to eat. It's been there since 1994 and I only discovered it a few years ago. I wish I'd found it sooner!
