I’ve given them multiple chances but they always disappoint. Worst take out service ever. You’ll be waiting 2 hours for your food go elsewhere

Someone told me this place is their fave Chinese food in Westchester.... It wasn't terrible and the value is great-- huge portions for lunch special price on the weekend. But 2 stars since have definitely had much better.
The chicken in both entrees was not tender enough... One piece couldn't even chew. The food was not terribly oily, but definitely more oily than my liking. They got the order wrong so when we went back in to correct it, they all started fighting among themselves on who messed up the order. Didn't mean to start a fight! But check your order before you drive

I used to order from David Chen's back in the 1990's when I lived in Mt. Kisco, and loved it. I recently moved my office to Armonk and went there today for lunch with an old school buddy, and it was absolutely amazing. With all these new Asian Fusion, fancy pants places these days, Chen's has managed to keep up an extremely high standard and the food was amazing! We each had a soup, fried dumplings, and two mains that was way more then enough but was so good we ate almost all of it. We also had two drinks ( which were also well made), and the bill was 80 dollars. Our server was extremely

We had a really fabulous meal here. It began with an order of pork dumplings, and beef on a stick. The dumplings were quite ample and delicious with a nice soy ginger dipping sauce. Now, the steak on a stick was excellent! It was marinated so perfectly and was quite tender.
For entrées, we ordered the curry chicken and The general asparagus filet mignon with shrimp. The shrimp were extremely large and very crispy in a nice brown sauce. The filet was so tender and delicious. It was an excellent dish.
The chicken curry was very flavorful, and served in a generous portion in a large clay pot

They almost charged us for an extra entree we didn’t order. Then when I was eating my chicken I found a piece of aluminum foil in the breading. Took it back, owner didn’t say much about it. Pretty bad look.

A favorite for decades...went for the classic wonton soup and dumplings to start, followed by Peking duck...juicy and crispy skin...and shrimp lol mein...the servings are large and allow for enjoying leftovers.

This is our favorite eat in restaurant. When it comes to takeout they absolutely fail. Doesn't matter whether you go in and order or have delivery, the food is just not good. Tonight we had a $100+ takeout, ordered in the restaurant. We live 10 minutes away and the food was just warm and just ok. I have seen many others say the same thing and it just amazes me that they haven't stepped up their takeout. For their prices I'll just eat in

We ordered in a lot of food, as we live Upstate NY and wanted leftovers. Enjoyed leftovers for about 2 to 3 days.

The delivery was prompt and the food was hot. Most of the food was very good and some was so, so.

However, if you want take out, I would suggest David Chen. Overall delivery service and food were good.

Over the years, we've been to David Chens and have always enjoyed it. We had not visited for a while and thought we'd visit.

The parking lot seemed quite empty despite the time (5pm). Inside looked as beautiful as always. There were three occupied tables when we arrived. We were quickly seated and brought hot tea and menus.

I chose chicken with cashew nuts and my husband had the shredded spicy pork. My dish seemed a bit dried which was strange, but otherwise tasted ok. My husband's dish was not spicy and he said tasted almost sweet. He only had a few bites and refused to eat more

Went back after a long absence and was delighted. While Cantonese restaurants are like Jewish delis and disappearing from the scene this place forges on. While the cuisine will probably always be a staple of take-out Chinese places the restaurants are dwindling.
We had their house special soup with vegetables, shrimp and chicken in a clear broth. Then spare ribs, still probably the best w/o the obligatory painted char siu sauce to give the ribs some flavor. You can tell these ribs are slowly roasted to perfection by a master.
Again we returned to Seven Stars & a Moon, a fantastic melange of

Entrance area smells like raw human waste.

We founds the food very bland and the service slow.

There was literally one waiter who was also bussing tables last night. He did an amazing job all things considered but how much can one guy do?

My general tso chicken was 100% tasteless. Bummer we won't be back.

I've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for ages and I finally found one!!
David Chen is a stand alone restaurant that offers a traditional Chinese menu
We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who showed us to a nice table
We ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and moo shu chicken
Both were delicious with generous portions of chicken and vegetables. Tea and Chinese noodles were also on the table
The staff checked on us often during our meal
Prices were reasonable and we plan on returning soon for the lunch special
Highly recommended!!

Such a nice dining experience. The facade of the restaurant is iconic. We were greeted by David and his team, who were very welcoming and attentive. They served us promptly. The decor inside gives an authentic feel. The menu is extensive, but not overbearing. The food was delicious. I had the Udon noodles which were awesome. Their lunch special between 11am and 3pm is worth the trip. Reasonable prices. A defenite weekly dinner or lunch outing.

If you are in search of gourmet Szechuan and Cantonese dishes then David Chens is the place for you. Very good large portion of chicken lo mein (no small portion, only large for $8.45), lobster fried rice at $16.95 was a unique dish but did not deliver on taste with large chunks of chewy lobster tail chopped up on dry fried rice. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp were very large and a tasty bargain at $19.95. The egg rolls were hard and over cooked.
Overall you'll pay 20% more for take out then your local Chinese Restaurant. And yes, as a reviewer mentioned below the woman who answered the phone

My favorite Chinese restaurant, hands down. Have dined here w/my family for 15+ years & still amazing as the first meal. Generous portions and fresh tasting food. Susan & David are ALWAYS welcoming & provide the best chinese food day in and day out.

Linen tablecloths, complementary tea, noodles & the best duck sauce. Plenty of parking. Fish tanks to keep kids occupied.
