Services
Each HSS portfolio is made entirely by hand (our hands!) one piece at a time. We use 100% archival materials, sourced from other small businesses whenever possible. We like to collaborate with makers and designers to bring exceptional elements into the construction of each project. At Hinged Strung Stitched, we have a penchant for unconventional, solution-based design.
If you have a particular material you want to incorporate, bring it to the table. If you have an idea of purpose but no thoughts on design, let us create something appropriately beautiful that works perfectly for you. Include any details that you already know: the type of binding, quantity, turnaround time, colors, materials or personalization preference.
We will travel to your classroom to show your fifth-graders how to make a sturdy notebook, or we will invite you into our peaceful, intimate studio for a one-on-one lesson on traditional binding techniques. Regardless of the project, you will depart with a deeper appreciation and broader knowledge of technical bookbinding.

Just as I was losing all hope that I would find someone to help me make an event album with both digital photos and paper media along came Hinged Strung Stitched. Michelle was a pleasure to work with and welcomed my input always with a smile. I couldn't be happier with the result.
