Services
Happy Tails Animal Hospital can't wait to serve the Garden Grove community. Our main focus is to educate pet owners, give accurate diagnoses, and provide the best care for your pet. Our experienced veterinarian offers a wide variety of surgical and medial care for small pets, but our services don't stop there.
All of our surgeries are performed by Dr. Berka herself. Every patient is sedated with the safest protocols, intubated, and placed on gas anesthetic. The patients are monitored during their procedures by a Veterinary Technician using an EKG and Pulse Oximeter. All surgeries are performed in a sterile surgical suite.
For Ultrasounds, we use a mobile Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist. In the normal realm of the veterinary curriculum, veterinarians are not thoroughly trained in performing and reading ultrasounds. There are veterinarians, however, who go on further years of training in order to perform these specialized tests.
Berka and her amazing staff have created a truly wonderful place for our little zoo to recieve outstanding care, both for their medical needs and their hearts. Not only does Happy Tails provide us with honest and reasonable recommendations for our pet's care at unbeatable prices, but they truly adore our animals the way we do.

Had the worst experience EVER here. Came in for the first time with my dog because she needed a shot to go to the kennel. Had to wait almost an hour after my appointment time and then when the doctor came out to talk to us, she acted like we were bothering her. She was very rude and walked away as I was asking a question. If you want bad service, this vet will give that to you. Not coming back

We took our dogs to Happy Tails in June for their yearly check-up. At that time, we purchased flea meds from them which were way overpriced. We were told the dogs did not need a heartworm test. Today, my husband went to pick up a flea med prescription that I requested over the phone. When he got there, he was told they would not give him the prescription until the dogs were seen. When it was confirmed that they were just seen in June, she then said that they need a heartworm test. What?! They said the dogs didn't need a test when we purchased their overpriced flea meds. I had such a nice experience at Happy Tails this morning. They took such good care of my puppy this morning. The staff was fully masked and followed all Covid protocols. They also were very kind to a woman who challenged a young staff member about why she was wearing a mask. The young woman gently told her that she was protecting her grandparents. She shouldn't have had to defend her safety decisions. Needless to say, I was very impressed with their professionalism. Great vet, great staff and safe!

Dr. Berka came highly recommended by neighbors and friends. Her staff is welcoming and really connect with the animals they care for. Dr. Berka is very approachable, practical, forthcoming with information, and takes time to ensure all my questions/concerns are addressed. I just really like the feeling there, and my pup loves seeing everybody every time we go.

They are very impersonal, not allowed in business, you pull up in front of business, a tech comes out, takes your animal in, brings it back out, never get to see the Vet, you call the business they always put you on hold or hang up on you. They hung up on me 4 X today, I drove there and was right in front of office, they still did the same. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

We love this place! Dr.Berka is great and so is her staff. Most recently I took my pup, Pebbles, there for her vaccine updates... we were in and out within 30 mins! They are quick and efficient. Prices are very reasonable and they provide excellent care. The goodie bag of treats was an extra sweet gesture!

As a new puppy owner, I was nervous about my pup's first vet visit after getting her from the rescue. Dr. Berka and her staff were very helpful and informative, and even with Covid protocols, they all took the time to answer all of my questions. The face-to-face time was very much appreciated, and my little pup did really well with her last round of vaccines.

We have been going to this vet for 4-5 years. Dr Berka has been taking care of our dog. It came time to put him to sleep and Dr Berka wanted to charge us 404.00 to do it. Also she wanted to do it in the back alley. We went to another vet and they charged us 253.00 and did it inside. How terrible is it to price gouge someone when their dog is dieing? This is our reward for being loyal customers. We will never be using Happy Tails animal hospital for any future vet needs. Good luck people.

Bringing my doggo to the vet is usually pretty heart- wrenching but ever since we found Happy Tails, I no longer feel too terrible bringing Lucky here! While he usually walks in pretty timid (understandably) the best part is that by the time he walks out, he's besties with the Happy Tails staff!

I brought my grumpy senior boi, Lucky, here because he had a cough and has been suffering from allergies. He is usually very unhappy when we go to the vet, and when we got there he was apprehensive and barking. The COVID precautions at the office are really great. You call when you arrive to check in, and they come out to your car to greet you. They take your dog in to check him or her in while you wait in the car. Most caring and thoughtful vet that I've ever been at! They took care of the passing of our dog with compassion and thoughtfulness. They waited for us in the office on New Year's Day when we couldn't find any other place to go. They even sent us a sympathy card afterwards. It was very sweet and our family really appreciated

I have been bringing my dogs here for a while now and I couldn't be happier.
I brought both my shiba and golden doodle here for shots for years. They are very good to them and my dogs always leave happy. The last time I came in was about a week ago to update them on their vaccines and whatever was needed. Scheduling was easy and when we arrived someone came out with a mask and picked them up. We waited about 20 minutes and the dogs were brought back out to us. Transactions were also very simple and convenient. They just took our card and brought it back out to us quickly. I am grateful

Dr. Berka and her staff were SUPER nice! Due to Covid-19, we had to stay outside. They took our dog in to get her shots. Within 10 minutes, they were done. They brought our dog back outside with a bag full of treats and goodies! Very knowledgeable and kind. We will definitely be coming back and recommending to others. =)

Excellent service each time we have gone for check ups & shots. I love the personal touch of a dog treat for later. Who's a good girl!
During the stay-at-home, someone will come out and take your dog & bring them back out to you after the services are complete. You don't get to go in. We got our doggo's medication from them as well. Can't beat a one stop shop!

Dr. Keri and the staff at Happy Tails are awesome, they take care of our dogs like no other vet, like we've had in over 40 years. Dr. Keri never tries to upsell you, she is honest to a fault and her advice or course of treatment has always been confirmed by other vets.
