DANA Since Dana's start in the cosmetology industry 27 years ago, she has become synonymous with exceptional style, intricate hair care and upscale service. By 1992 she decided to pursue her first love, hair, and enrolled at Scanners International Beauty Academy. It was here that she first showed the world that beautiful hair, is and should always be, healthy hair.
How do I maintain my hair in between visits? A. Always sleep with a Satin Scarf, bonet, or pillow case, and if you have medium to long hair you can wrap or pin curl it. How do I maintain healthy hair? A. Routine visits to the salon every 1 to 2 weeks, recommended trims, regular deep conditiong, and most importantly limit the use of heating tools.

I am extremely happy with my hair and my new stylist Kim! It started with the phone call. She instantly eased my nerves with her over the phone consultation. When she walked in the salon, I instantly knew I was in good hands. She was thorough and informed me of every step of the process. She made me feel extremely comfortable. In the end, she slayed my silkpress and bob cut. Before I left, I scheduled my next appointment...because I'm a regular now!

I booked Mrs. Kim Brooks for the “renew me” service and am planning to book again to maintain my style. This was only my second salon experience in my life and she was very professional, answered all my questions, and addressed any concerns I had. I “may or may not” have been a difficult client but she worked with me to help achieve the style I wanted and I absolutely love the result! I can tell she loves what she does and is an expert in her field.

She showed up late which was unprofessional but that wasn’t even the bad part to me personally. I showed her the image of exactly what I wanted and she did as she pleased anyway. I’m unsatisfied with my hair. She cut the sides of my hair with razors and now my sides are uneven/patchy. Not only did all of this happen to me but I paid way much more than what she originally told me I had to pay.
I’m lucky I wear wigs because that is exactly what I’m going to have to do until my hair grows back... I can’t believe I really wasted my money today ...smh. I wouldn’t recommend

The owner and lead stylist is extremely talented. Kanithia takes care of my natural hair providing the best coloring, cutting, and styling services in the DMV. After 9 years I can still rock my natural wash n go curls or transition to a stylish funky mohawk. She is professional, timely and extremely creative.
