Over this past year, Paul and his team at Nantucket have VERY effectively balanced their concern for client and staff safety with their commitment to high style and great value! Over the many years that I and my now-adult daughters have been clients, we have always found the Nantucket stylists to be creative, responsive and friendly, serving a full range of customers who leave smiling -- and better looking! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Close to metro; ample nearby parking.

I was a bit nervous about getting a haircut after four months at home. Paul and his staff were meticulous about having a safe environment, all in masks, temperature taken, a disposable poncho over my clothes, perfect distancing and constant sanitizing. Plus he does a fantastic haircut!

I’ve been going to Paul, the owner, every 6 weeks for about 15 years. He is great! I always get lots of compliments on my color and cut. Nantucket is a wonderful salon with a warm and welcoming staff. I love that the employees have all been there for years. It’s a real testament to his management.
I feel totally confident in their COVID procedures. Everyone there is taking great care to assure the safety of the customers and staff.

Nantucket is one of the best hair salon's in the DC metropolitan area. The stylists are uniformly superb, they listen, and they are open to discussing the evolution of your style. Paul Ramadan has done my hair for over 20 years. After a haircut, I feel like I can take on the world because my hair looks great. Equally important, their humor and good cheer keep clients on a positive, even keel, needed so much in Washington DC. Look good - Lighten up -- Nantucket is the place!

Paul is a stylist par excellence. But more than that, at this surreal time, he has gone to great lengths also to ensure all of Nantucket’s clients and his whole team remain safe. Temp checks, disposable gowns, masks at all times on everyone, limited capacity, distancing, sanitized stations. My husband and I, who have been hunkered down at our beach house since the pandemic hit, drive 100+ miles just so we could feel comfortable getting our hair cut. And we did. On top of the great styling too! Thanks to Paul and Marco and Blanca and the whole team for being there to take care of us!

I went to have my hair colored and cut on Saturday. I felt very safe with the location of the salon. It was very obvious Paul, the owner, really thought through safety from the Covid virus for his clients. I was greeted at the door by Marco and was taken back to have temp check, antibacterial spray and a plastic disposal cape that covered me. There was social distancing and cleaning of all areas throughout all steps of of my visit. Everyone wore masks to protect the clients. When I left, the cape was removed and immediately thrown away. I felt very safe that all precautions were taken throughout

I have had my hair cut at Nantucket for almost 30 years and, clearly, think that it is the best salon in Washington, DC. With respect to getting color and/or a cut in the age of Covid, Nantucket takes every precaution to make sure that clients and staff are protected and safe. During my visit in early June, masks were required, I had my temperature taken, and was given a plastic poncho to wear (versus a cloth robe). At the salon, there is extreme social distancing in place. This is achieved by spacing out appointments. The number of staff has been reduced as well. They have only two clients on

I have been going to Nantucket, Paul personally, for over 20 years now. I no longer work in DC and haven't for 15 years now, but will make the trip from Calvert County to have my hair done. Everyone in the salon is very nice, friendly and professional. They are always ready for you at the time of your appointment, never waited in all these year. Always walk out of there very happy with my cut and color and get many compliments.
Just had my hair done since they reopened after the Covid-19 shutdown and was very impressed with the protocols they have in place. Very safe and sanitized regularly.
