We are located in downtown Long Beach at 115 Pine Avenue, 3rd floor (suite 360 to the right off the elevator). Our building is on the corner of Pine Avenue and First Street. The building is still largely bordered up except for Alegria restaurant (to the right of the entrance). Our lobby entrance is between Alegria and L'Opera restaurant (still bordered up).
Facing a divorce, whether you are the one initiating it or responding to it, is a life-changing event in a person's life. Whether it is one of shame, failure, and devastation OR transformation, self-direction and joy-creation is a choice each person has to make for themselves. The end of a marriage/domestic partnership can be viewed as an opportunity to create a life of peace, happiness, and joy.
Legal separation is appropriate if you want to resolve your issues but stay married because you want to keep health insurance, employment benefits, other financial benefits of marriage OR because there are religious reasons OR you want to work on individual issues (emotional, psychological, addiction, etc.) and give future reconciliation a chance.
Grey divorce (older couples with longer duration marriages) happens! And it happens more frequently than ever before. Many couples decide later in life to part their ways. If the decision is mutual, it can be a smooth and relatively easy process (assuming finances enable parties to set up two households and take care of each spouse's needs).
The law imposes deadlines by which PDD must be completed. The petitioner must serve his/her preliminary disclosure within 60 days of the filing of the petition Fam. Code Section 2104(f)) and the Respondent must serve his/her within 60 days of the filing of the response. Declaration Regarding Service of Declaration of Disclosure and Income and Expense Declaration (FL-141).

I worked with Agata from 2019 to 2021 as she helped with my family law case.
She is a good person who means well. When we spoke on the phone, she always took the necessary time to explain her professional opinion and the possible view from the court's perspective. She exemplified caring about my situation and I believe that Agata provided me with her best advice for the situation. Where she really shines is litigation. On the occasions we went to court, she definitely threw the gloves on and fought for the case.
Unfortunately, no attorney is perfect. There were some shortfalls within my experience

My mom passed away without a will when I was barely 20 years old.
