Each day is a precious one in the life of a child. At Lyric Preschool, it is our joy and privilege to provide a variety of experiences that will assure a balanced growth within your child. Our school is staffed with professional Early Childhood Educators. They give each child the best nurturing environment possible.
Staff members have completed Child Development College courses and qualify to provide a loving and understanding setting where children learn about positive self-esteem. Physical activities, Character development, Creative play, Reading preparation, Arts and Crafts, Music and Rhythms, Science and Language.

Services
A non-refundable registration fee of $95 is required upon enrollment or placement on waiting list. The first payment plus a deposit of one week's tuition is also required on your child's first school day. The deposit will be applied toward the last week of school. Upon prior approval, your child may attend Lyric School in case of family emergencies.
Before your child may enter Lyric Preschool, he or she must be at least two (2) years old and in good health. It is your responsibility to keep the above information current (especially home and business address, daily phone number, names of emergency contact persons and their phone numbers). Tuition is due on the first school day of the month or each Monday if paying weekly.
Lyric Preschool Director, Mr. Curtis, didn't realize that preschool was his calling until his own son started pre-school at the age of two. He became deeply interested in his child's new day-to-day environment and decided to change his own direction. I loved [his preschool] so much, I went back to school and got a degree in Childhood Development: at Pacific Oaks College.

Best preschool in the world! Our son loved this preschool, the teachers and attentive, compassionate and nurturing. Not to mention the director who is amazing and ensures all kids are well taken care of. The teachers will provide updates throughout the day along with pictures through the easy to follow app, which as a parent is incredibly reassuring but also a great way to know how your child's day is going. The school is very communicative and you feel involved as a parent, knowing that you child is in good hands. They have two fun play yards, separated by class, along with very clean classrooms

This is an amazing school and we had the best experience compared to our prior preschools. We are so happy we made the decision to enroll our son here, he has learned so much and is so happy. The staff is so dedicated and simply love what they do, and it reflects on the students. Also COVID protocols are followed strictly, we felt very safe attending. Our son didn't want to leave (and we were sad to leave too!) but we will be back for visits as the Lyric teachers and staff feel like family. Don't hesitate to consider Lyric!

This preschool is amazing!!!
The director is the kindest director ever. He has such a good heart and he is very friendly! He manage his preschool with passion. He definitely loves his job. The teachers are loving and have lots of consideration for the children. My kids considerate them like family.
They get the children ready for kindergarten and they also play a lot, do lots of Art. The place is gorgeous with slide, swings, monkey bars...And they have lots of shade which is great during summer time.
I wish my kids could stay there forever!

We LOVE this school! All of the teachers and staff are very warm and friendly. My first son graduated from Lyric and missed all of the teachers. The social skills and education he gained here allowed him to become a better student at his current elementary school. My second son now attends the 3-year-old Sun Shine program, and is flourishing!

We love Lyric Preschool. I'm so happy we found this school. I did extensive research for preschool in the area, went to tours, and some of them even have an interview for a preschool. We decided to come here because Mr. Curtis make us feel that our son would be in a great hands. All the teachers here are amazing. My first son graduated last year and still says he misses Lyric. He is now in kinder and all he learned from lyric helps him a lot in the current school, not only academics also social skills and manners. My little ones loves their school and never give me a fuss about going to school

The most amazing preschool ever. We were so fortunate to have found such a gem in this neighborhood. The teachers are super caring and loving. Both my kids attended lyric since age 2 to kinder. Very emotional and sad experience when the kids grow up and move on. Mr. Curtis is so awesome. All the kids love him and he plays the piano for them. All the teachers are very artistic and creative, which I LOVE. Both my kids language and verbal skills are excellent. Both of our sons attended Lyric school over the course of the last 2+ years. We have loved every minute. Our sons thrived both emotionally and developmentally while they attended Lyric. When I dropped them off every day, I always knew they would be expertly cared for. The staff lead by the director Mr. Curtis are kind, educated, caring and responsive. We have unfortunately moved out of the area and we will miss Lyric very much. I would encourage any prospective parent to enroll their child at Lyric preschool- it is a true gem!

Our family's experience with Lyric preschool has been a wonderful one. We couldn't have imagined a better place for our children to attend preschool. They loved their time there and still talk about it with such delight. Lyric is a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. The space is creative and inviting. The teachers prepare the children for kindergarten academically and socially. Mr. Curtis (the school director) is a kind, funny, and caring man. He has been there for years and has even had parents that attended the school bring their children there. We can't say enough good things

This school is amazing. A true family experience. It starts from the casual coolness of Director/owner of school Curtis. Just a good dude that I trust implicitly with my boys. I knew him through a family friend that has known him for 50 years...he is caring, gracious and obviously loves what he does. The entire staff could not be more well suited for child care. Loving and playful. This is not a hipster Pre k. This is the pre k we had as children of the 70's. My boys leave happy each and everyday. Don't walk run those little feet here!!! With my first child, I searched high and low for a preschool to send my first born. Every school I went to just didn't feel like a great fit. I literally visited 5 schools, until I came across Lyric Preschool on Hyperion. With just my first step in the door, I was sold. As a mother, you get that "mothers instinct" and just know sometimes. I know how difficult it can be to leave your child with complete strangers, but at Lyric Preschool it feels more like a family. The director, teachers, and T.A.'s are so loving, patient, and caring that I don't hesitate to drop my son off or worry about him during the day. My daughter has been going to Lyric for nearly a year now and she loves it. We love it.
My husband and I were looking for a place that was fun for our daughter, and that we trusted. I have never doubted the care that my daughter receives and it has really helped her come out of her shell.
The ratio of kids to teachers is great, and they make great crafts every single day. She's learning, but she is having a lot of fun while she is doing it.
Mr. Curtis is amazing and we are actually very sad that because we have moved, and my daughter can no longer attend the school. I don't know

You do get what you pay for! At Lyric Pre-School your child will learn so much. I previously had my son in daycare (wayyy cheaper than Lyric) and once I decided to switch him over to Lyric (to prepare him for kinder), I was impressed at the rate of education and progress my son has shown.

I am very surprise how some of the parents are very happy with the diet they feed their children at lyric preschool. They served them pre-made process food. Sometimes a lot of sugar. Home cook meal? and healthy food? Last time I check they serve children a can pineapple and for afternoon snack they gave them goldfish cheese snack witch pack with unhealthy calories and most likely GMO. I can see why the parents are so happy because you dont have to worry about packing their kids lunches. I have much more negative things to say about this school but I am not going to go crazy in this yelp box

I currently have my daughter enrolled at this school and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the management, teachers and the facilities. My four year old daughter looks forward to school every day and she comes home tired and happy. We applied for many but we are sure happy this is the one that opened first. We plan on having our daughter go to school here until she is eligible for kindergarten. I give this school my best recommendation and if you live in the area with kids, you owe it to yourself and your child to go give this school a look.

I was a former student at Lyric preschool, and now my daughter goes there. As soon as it came time to decide on where to place her for preschool I immediately knew Lyric was the only place I would feel 100% happy and confident in. As a grown woman today, I can still clearly remember all of the AMAZING projects and fun activities we did, 22 years later!

My son loves the school and with their help, he's become quite the chatter box. This is the boy who started with 10 words! I like the fact that he gets a lot of chances to make choices and then other times of structure. We get a lot of feedback about his development. I'm so glad the Lyric Family is part of our family. :)
