Joseph Corporation is a community-based nonprofit organization established in 1990 to address affordable housing needs in the Aurora area. Our mission is to empower individuals, stabilize families, and revitalize neighborhoods through a variety of economic and social initiatives. Joseph Corporation increases homeownership opportunities by offering education and counseling for first-time homebuyers.
Joseph Corporation believes that to create healthy communities, we must focus on more than just affordable homes. We need to help people achieve long-term financial stability so that they can set and reach their own financial goals and build long-term wealth for their families. Our Financial Education and Counseling division offers free workshops and one-on-one counseling to help improve the financial health of our communities.
Joseph Corporation provides counseling to answer your questions about foreclosure and to assist you with foreclosure prevention and intervention. Return the completed Foreclosure Prevention Packet (including all copies of required supporting documents) to our office. Once the packet is reviewed, you will be contacted to attend a required workshop.
The Safety First Program is funded in partnership with the City of Aurora Community Development Block Grant, Joseph Corporation administers this program which addresses safety issues within the city limits of Aurora. Eligible repairs include mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; roof and porch repairs or replacements.
Homebuyer Education assists those who are looking for guidance in purchasing a home. Joseph Corporation counseling will help walk with you through the steps of the home buying process. This program is designed to allow you to discover how you can become a homeowner. We will help you understand your mortgage.
