Northgate is by far the nicest apartment community in Waukegan. I loved my experience while living there, and if I move back to waukegan this is where I’ll go. Jenny and Nina are the best! They are responsive and always a pleasure to interact with. If you’re moving to the area, look no further and choose Northgate!

I understand that Covid made everything expensive including the rent living here but I honestly love it here! The staff are great from the office manager, assistant, leasing agent down to the maintenance. Whenever I have an issue or need something fixed or looked at they’re all good at handling the problem.
I would give 9 stars if I could.

We lived in this location for a year. The experience went from 5 star to 1 star. We were so grateful to have a place to live during the pandemic. It was hard to come by a place. When we moved in there were many maintenance concerns that went unresolved. We moved out a year later and the process was very difficult. I highly encourage a detailed move in checklist and do not expect to get your money back for deposit. In fact, plan on paying extra. Fortunately, they lost our paperwork and the time expired for them to collect our deposit per state law. We thought it was a bit strange all of the postings

Beautiful apartments but terrible management! The management company, Monarch Investment and Management Group in it's entirety are crooks. Read and review your "Move Out Billing Statement" very carefully. If you don't they will steal whatever money they can from you. When I moved out I knew that some of my security deposit wouldn't be returned for the damages I was responsible for but they took the whole $1285. I received an email saying that I owed them a balance of approximately $190. Long story short, it went from me owing them to them cutting me a check for almost $340 and I still found almost
