Services
Our primary goal is to prevent illness for your pet. Vaccinations and exams are one way to keep up to date on your pet's health. We recommend keeping your pet's Distemper and Leptospirosis vaccines up to date, and don't forget, an updated Rabies vaccine is required by law for all pets. We recommend Yearly exams for patients 1 to 6 years old and 6 month exams for patients 7 and older.
Dottie, or Dot when she is in trouble, has been with us for a few years now. She is a cardboard box enthusiast and enjoys her occasional afternoon exercise with the lazer pointer. In her free time she enjoys sleeping and discovering the new and exciting places the clinic has to offer. Dot has been passed down the role of Laboratory Supervisor, as she spends most of her days overlooking the activities in the Lab area of the clinic.

Courteous and professional care is what we strive for, and we are more than excited for you and your pet(s) to become a part of it.
We are pleased to provide after hours emergency consultations from a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine through a service called Guardian Vets. These veterinarians will help to determine whether or not a trip to Iowa Veterinary Specialties or Bluepearl is necessary. We understand your pet's health doesn't follow a 8-5 and sometimes questions may come up after hours.

Extremely unpleasant experience here
Called 4 different times for records for my dog who now lives in a different state with me and they kept telling me they would email the records to me and never did. One phone call even said she just sent them to my email as we were speaking and never actually did. I gave up and had to start all over with my records at a different clinic. Staff here are useless LIARS!!

I, unfortunately, had to file for bankruptcy a couple of years ago. This vet was one place I owed a bill. That was very embarrassing for me due to ALWAYS paying my veterinarian bills above all else. It was a dark time in my life. This was in 2017.
Parkview, my preferred vet, had no appointments to get my cat in when he suddenly started sneezing. They said to call this place. I've been taking my pets to Newton Animal Clinic for many, many years. They have the very best vets, techs, & support staff. The vets are well trained, skilled & knowledgeable, & I trust them with the care of my pets. Everyone there is friendly, kind, & genuinely concerned about the care of your pet. I would not take my precious companions to any other animal clinic. ❤❤

Came a little earlier than opening because I thought appointment was at 7:00am. Tried to tell employee walking inside that I had an appointment and got completely ignored. Then when I saw there were multiple people inside, I went to the door to ask when I could bring my mom’s dog in and young blonde assistant was rude. This is all after they provided my mom with false information regarding vaccinations. One of the office ladies told her she needed to start the vaccination process all over because she was a week or two late getting a booster.
