Bondurant Animal Clinic
We schedule by appointments only. We do not accept walk-ins. This allows us to have adequate time to care for each and every one of our patients. Our clinic now has an open lobby. However, if you would feel more comfortable staying in your vehicle, we can stay curbside throughout your visit. For your comfort, we will be wearing masks and we recommend our clients to as well.

As always, if you have any questions please give us a call at 515-967-1800. If you have found a lost pet, please stop by so we can try to identify the pet. If we can not find a microchip, tag, or if we don't recognize the pet, we unfortunately can not house the pet. If we are unable to identify, we recommend going to the Polk County Animal Rescue League (ARL) as they would be able to assist the best from that point on.
Services
Our primary goal is to prevent illness for your pet. Vaccinations and yearly exams are one way to keep up to date on your pet's health. We recommend keeping your pet's Distemper and Leptospirosis vaccines up to date, and don't forget, an updated Rabies vaccine is required by law for all pets over 6 months old.
Fiona has been the big boss at Bondurant Animal Clinic since day one. During her long work weeks, she may be found performing a variety of different tasks, such as: sassing the staff and/or clients, keeping up on her appearances, eating treats at her leisure, and on extremely busy days, napping on the back of the printer.
Please call us or stop in to ask a staff member about any questions you may have. Did you know? Bondurant Animal Clinic has been in business since 2010. We offer small animal care including: exams, vaccinations, routine surgeries, and some diagnostics. We carry a range of Royal Canin food including: puppy/kitten, adult and senior foods as well as light/weight control, hypoallergenic, prescription diet and hairball foods.
We look forward to seeing you and your pet(s). Our goal is to make every visit as informative and pleasant as possible, and to provide the most excellent patient health care. Courteous and professional care is what we strive for, and we are more than excited for you and your pet(s) to become a part of it.

Every experience is better than the last. They treat my dogs with kindness and always give more information than I ask for. I appreciate every human and animal who is there.

Megan at the front desk is absolutely awful!! She has the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. I had to deal with her on the phone and in the office several times (my dog had to go through a very serious 3 month treatment) and every time she was rude, interruptive and short. Only seems to care about the bill and I had no problem paying my bill if that tells you anything. Apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way by the other reviews. This is my first ever review, prompted by how bad Megan was. This vet office is solely losing business due to her. Being treated so badly

In the few months this place has been our vet, it has been one negligent mistake after another. And every time we have called to explain their latest error, each one increasing in seriousness, they remain totally unapologetic, combative, and absolutely refuse to remediate the situation in any way. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we asked for our dog’s full vaxx records to be sent to another vet for an emergency appointment on a Saturday (which Bondurant doesn’t offer) for a lump we found on her. Long story short, the other vet said this vet (Bondurant), according to Bondurant’s

We have been so impressed with Bondurant Animal Clinic. We recently moved here and brought our dogs in for routine care. This week, our puppy was injured in our yard and when I called the clinic, they got her right in. Dr. Timm, Dr. Hong, and Megan have been fantastic to work with. They quickly took care of our girl and developed a treatment plan for her. They were in communication with us for her procedure and gave us clear instructions on her follow-up care. They genuinely care about the clients they see and we have been so impressed by the team that works in the clinic.

Cared more about making money than care for animal. Dog was sick took him twice. $300 first trip / $500 second trip
Other vets were shocked by the charges. Almost $400 in x-ray charges vs being told $150.
I do not recommend this vet office.

Maddie is a rockstar!! She took the time to walk me through every step of the process. I can honestly say the world is a better place with her in it!
Dr. Hong was incredibly thorough! He explained everything in a simple way that made perfect sense to me. He explained all the treatment options along with the costs associated with them so I could make an informed decision.
This was my first time bringing my little companion in. Now I can’t imagine taking him anywhere else!

I’ve taken my 9 year old dog here since she was a pup and they are hands down the best animal clinic! I took her to the emergency vet a few weeks ago for some severe pain she was experiencing and scheduled a follow-up exam at the Bondurant Animal Clinic. After their evaluation of her, we have her on a new treatment plan and in a matter of hours, my dog now has her spunk back! I can’t say enough good things about our experience over the years and how well they’ve taken care of her.

This place is horrible and is only concerned about up selling. Needed a new vet as mine had passed away. Called and got a quote on pricing and explained what I needed Rabie vaccine, and yearly boosters, and needed to extend my heart worm medication. I clearly told them that I was uninterested in heartworm check as I have vet records going back yearly showing they have been under the care of a vet every year since they were a puppy. Was clearly told that a heart worm test could be waved but would require a waiver.
Arrived on date, then was told they would not accept animal without having a heartworm

I had brought my rat terrier to thier office for yhe first last week when I needed to put her down due to kidney and liver issues. When I called I asked if they would be willing to help with my dog because I had heard the staff was very caring, compassionate, and very friendly. I was coming from a larger vet in Ankeny where I had been going for years with my dog and they couldn't even spell her name correctly after seeing her at least 3 times over the last week. When my mom and I came into thier office in Friday they were so comforting, caring, and made putting my dog to sleep a peaceful and moment

Very impressed with the Vets, especially on their knowledge of feline diabetes. They saved our kitty. Highly recommend!
