R&S is simply the best of the best. Chip and Chris have no limits to what they can do for you and your vehicle. I have a 1979MGB - british cars have their "quirks" to say the least. They vastly improved the performance, replaced the headlights and casing with LED bulbs so it can be seen on the road, and totally revamped the intake manifold, installed a weber carburetor and a new free flow exhaust while eliminating all the unnecessary smog equipment. Along with many other items they have transformed the car.

I have 2 estimates on the car and you can pay the cheapest one but you do not want to pay one you want me to pay money on it my car had a brand new paint job when I brought it to you it does not have a bad latch you could not pull that hood up if you pulled with all your strength the mechanic forgot to latch the hood not only did you tear my car up and not want to pay for the damage you never fix the problem I had a long list of stuff and you put two fans on it charge me $400 it did not help there was a long list of stuff you never fixed any of it in my car was over there a month I don't

Grateful is an understatement! Being 9 hours away from home and having my brakes go out was so stressful and horrifying to me but from the moment I called them to the moment I left, they treated me with nothing but compassion and excellent service. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and then safe once we got back on the road. That is so important when you're traveling with your 2 teenagers. We appreciate everything!!

6 stars!! Came in thinking I needed a new alternator based on what AAA told me— Glen and Chris quickly opened up the hood and diagnosed the issue as a loose battery connection. 10 mins later they had the problem resolved with a part they had in the shop. Rather than taking an easy opportunity to up-change me, they instead were super honest and helped me get my Jeep going for about 99% less than the quotes I got from other shops on the island. Our family will come back to RS anytime we need service in HHI.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place left me with to many good things to say. They truly listened to the problem I was having with the truck and after fixing it they explained what they found and what they did and offered further advice. Then I saw the price... it was beyond reasonable. I expected way more. Owner told me he wants a lifetime customer. He got one! I’m bringing in my other vehicle. You want a professional, courteous, customer oriented, affordable, no bs and knowledgeable mechanic? You want old school customer service? You go to this shop! I couldn’t say enough about this place

On my way to beach I heard a noise every time I stopped or slowed down. I arrived on Hilton Head Island with no rear brake pads. I stopped at RS Auto Repair for my repair. The gentlemen were so nice and friendly. I think they could tell my stress level was up with worry. I traveled a long way here and I was too afraid to return home with no brakes. RS Auto was Awesome. I really appreciate their polite service and competitive prices. I would recommend to anyone needing repairs in area to try RS Auto Repair first. GREAT SERVICE!

Traveled to Hilton head for vacation. I drive a tundra with custom oversized wheels. They are one of the only places I could find to rebalance my tires. Quick, good pricing, excellent customer service, and excellent results. Got me in the day after I called, rebalanced and rotated my tires and had a much smoother ride on the way home.

Was on vacation from Kentucky. Popped a curb and busted my oil pan. I had a oil pan ordered from auto zone and Chip got me in first thing Monday morning. Had the car up on the racks taking a look at it right away. Unfortunately he found a busted coolant line but he had one ordered and put on Tuesday morning. After they had all parts and fluids checked, the technician took the car around the block to make sure everything checked out okay. I would highly recommend RS Auto Repair to anyone needing something fixed. I can't thank Chip and his technician enough for what they did for me.

Top notch service from quality team. Chip Bailey was recommended by a man, I know and trust, as a superb auto technician. Chip did not let me down. RS Auto Repair recently installed a Whipple Supercharger in my wife's Yukon Denali and did a fantastic job working with the Whipple representative to troubleshoot a problem I created by removing the original air box in a previous upgrade. Highly Recommended.

Small garage on Hilton Head that is run by professionals. I brought my truck in after another shop could not diagnose the problem. They spent xtra time troubleshooting and didn't nickel-n-dime me for every minute/part. The truck is fixed and the price was reasonable. Plus, they work on classics, hot rods and race cars!
