Services
Cardaras Funeral Homes are full-service funeral establishments. By offering a wide range of services, each family has the ability to create a meaningful and appropriate way to remember their loved one. Realizing that each family is unique, we are prepared to explain the various options. Listed below are some of the services we can provide.
Staff members of Cardaras Funeral Homes are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff. Van Cardaras is a native of Glouster, Ohio. While a student at Glouster High School, Van began his career working at the VanFossen Funeral Home (now owned by Cardaras).
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

I cannot say enough about how during such a tough time, Jennifer and her team made planning the services such an easy process and ensured everything was done to the family’s specifications. In a time that you should not have to worry about expenses, they were more reasonable than other places in the area. It was such a relief to have the services where we live and receive such high quality of services.

Showed compassion during the worst time of our lives. No one expects to bury their daughter at twenty years old, but Van, Smitty and staff went over and above helping us plan arrangements. We also used them recently for our dad and had the same excellent service. Thank you for all you do when people are facing the worst times in their lives!

Very over priced. $3895.00 base fee. Coffin, vault, announcements, register all were extra. 6845.00 altogether. They have a monopoly with a funeral home in nearly each of the surrounding towns. A friend of mine just died and her complete funeral was less than 3000.00. I feel they feed on your emotions at a very vulnerable time. They have you over a barrel. I guess it would really pay to preplan.
