In 1933, Guy Gardner founded Gardner Funeral Home. After Mr. Gardner passed away, Herman & Kate Humphrey purchased the funeral home in 1960. Working for over 57 years, Herman was associated with over 11, 750 funeral services before his death in 1997. Today, Jim Bob & Betty Humphrey own and operate the family business.

Hershel "Woody" Williams was born on a dairy farm in 1923 in Quiet Dell, West Virginia. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Battle of Iwo Jima with the 21st Marines, 3d Marine Division. During the battle, Mr. Williams displayed "valiant devotion to duty" and service above self as he "enabled his company to reach its objective".
Freddy was a devoted husband, loving father, papa, brother and friend. He was a former member of the London Volunteer Fire Dept, The London City Council and Living Water Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, jeeping, boating, watching the. The son of Claude and Freddie Kendrick White, he was born January.
