We know that life is precious and when you lose someone you dearly love, you wish to honor that person, the life he or she lived, as well as the love you shared. On the back of every memorial folder that we provide, we place a writing that is entitled, "Funerals are for the Living" which states "The funeral service is for the living because it enables family and friends to gather and express their feelings.
It's a time to pay tribute, reflect on memories, gain strength from others and begin to accept one of life's many changes. A funeral service allows you and those close to you to say goodbye and begin the healing process. We are completely dedicated to this philosophy because we know how extremely important the memorialization of a loved one is.

Services
In 1973, Pat Goebel was seeking an opportunity in funeral service as he had been doing since his graduation in 1967 from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and while serving his subsequent apprenticeship at Schoedinger Funeral Service in Columbus. During the time of this search, Pat had been working as a telephone lineman in order to provide for his wife and two small daughters.
At Goebel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.

Thank you to everyone at Goebel Funeral Home. We trusted you for the services of my mother-in-law, Eleanor (Rosser) Starner. Dorthy & Kyle certainly made a very sad day also an absolutely beautiful day! Eleanor looked her beautiful self and the video tribute was put together professionally. For what is always such a difficult experience, Goebel Funeral Home made it the best it could be, Thank You!!

I can’t begin to explain in words how AMAZING Dorothy and Kyle have been to me and my family on more then one occasion along with her loving husband Pat when he was here. They have helped in so many ways that I can’t thank them enough. They go above and beyond to make your situation as good as they possibly can at such a horrible time. They’re like family to me and they will treat you and your loved ones as such as well! Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
