This Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Jonathan T. Soistman of Soistman Family Dentistry & Associates in 2017. Dr. Soistman was raised in Cordova, Maryland and earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from Towson University in 2006. He graduated from the University of MD in 2011 with his Doctorate in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
At Soistman Family Dentistry, we want to welcome all New Patients into our family. For years, dental x-rays have been used to diagnose oral health complications and detect decaying or damaged teeth. Fluoride is a naturally occurring element that has been shown to help strengthen teeth in children and also prevent decay in people of all ages. Flossing is an important part of an oral hygiene routine, but research suggests that fewer than half of Americans do so daily.

I had my first visit to this practice today. I didn't have to wait 6 months for an appointment. The office staff was amazing. My hygienist, Kathy, gave a thorough assessment. Dr. Soistman gave excellent recommendations to maintain the health of my teeth. I would recommend this team to anyone. Pricing competitive, and their introduction to the practice and its background really made me feel like I was part of a team insuring my oral health was a priority for years to come.

Went in originally for extraction. They asked if I wanted to save tooth. I said yes and walked out with care plan of over $5000. Decided to only receive root canal. Called and confirmed before appointment. Paid for just root canal. When taken back was told care plan different and they would have me speak to someone. Did not happen and they started the process. They told me care credit will up your limit which they did not. Now I have half work done and cannot have it completed. Not happy at all

The staff is always welcoming and friendly here. They are professional and respect your time. I was just in for a 1 hr procedure , arrived and was seen within minutes and was finished in 50 min. If there is ever a wait, they accommodate with complimentary wifi and water. Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with their services and recommend them highly .

If I could put zero stars I would. Never come here it’s not worth your future dental investments. I called for a cavity last year one I knew I had they filled it then pointed out “soft spots” and other developing cavity’s I had to get filled as soon as possible (as they said). I wish I had gone to a second opinion because I went from one filling to my entire mouth being done in 3 weeks. only my lower front teeth remain as my actual teeth.
Since then I’ve been having pain in my molar fillings I went to a new dental practice and had to get X-rays and bite adjustments done. Multiple dentists

My tooth broke off and I called to try and get in and The office got me right in! I figured they would just reattach my tooth somehow and schedule me for a longer appointment but they actually made a temporary bridge for me that day. He had to pull three teeth and do stitches and I had to be fitted for the temporary bridge and it was all done by emergency appointment. I was so impressed! I have always loved Dr. Soustman But this really sealed the deal for me! I would never go to anyone else.

What a wonderful experience! I am a new patient and I had an appointment within 48 hours of calling the office. On the day of my appointment I had 2 problem teeth that were giving me pain and later found that I needed 2 root canals. Dr. Soistman was able to fit me in the same day, actually an hour after my cleaning, to take care of these problem… teeth. I’ve had root canals in the past where I’ve had to be referred out and wait for an appointment so this was a big deal and not at all expected for me having same day service. I am no longer in pain and able to eat again. The staff

I have not been to the dentist in 15+ years. Woke up in horrible pain and the office was able to get me in today! My biggest fear was the needle, Dr Soistman is amazing! I didn’t feel the needle at all nor did I feel any of the root canal procedure. Everyone in the office was so nice and explained everything in detail. I would highly recommend their practice!!

I don't have enough words to adequately describe Dr. Kaur and the entire team here at Soistman. I have not stayed awake to have a tooth pulled in 52 years because of a very horrific experience my first time at a Dentist. My fear was extreme, and Dr. Kaur has totally taken that fear away from me. She pulled two teeth and capped one and I did not… feel a thing. She calmed my nerves so much. I wanted to hug her when she was finished. From the minute I walked in the door everyone there made me feel welcome, explained everything, and answered all of my questions. I will never go anywhere else

Absolutely satisfied with this office. I’ve been dealing with severe tooth pain for two weeks and they scheduled me in for a consultation the same day. The staff is so welcoming and kind, providing a tour of the office and ensured I was at ease. I have to go back for a second visit and I trust in them to take care of the pain. ❤️

I originally posted the below review but need to revise it unfortunately.For two weeks we requested the doctor’s notes for my dentist. We have called, asked in person, emailed and completed their form with no result. I am puzzled why they cannot provide the information after multiple requests. Therefore I have to downgrade my review based upon an unsatisfactory overall experience.
First review:Outstanding. We are visiting from out of area. My tooth cracked and broke. Called at 830am and they took me same day at noon. No waiting and not even a patient. Extracted tooth and it was painless. Best

This is my 1st visit to Soistman dentistry..I can't say enough about how welcoming everyone was..From the staff at the front desk ( they were great) and next I met Kelly, a dental assistant who couldn't have been nicer..Many patients feel anxiety when they walk in a dentist office..Kelly works so hard to make sure you feel none of that..It only… got better when I met Dr. Soistman, who was just as kind and caring as his staff. By far the best most thorough dental experience of my life. EVERYONE was kind, clean, thorough and I was treated like family. Dr. Soistman was professional, courteous and thorough. Their yearly discount program is amazing especially for people like me without insurance. Talk about a one stop shop! They can take care of almost any procedure in house from cleanings, whitening to extractions root canals and much more. I will never go anywhere else.
