I saw an apartment and signed a lease with them because I heard they were good people to rent from. Boy, was I wrong!! Before I even move in, I get an email that "after much deliberation" (they knew they were going to sell it when I signed the lease) they have decided to sell the buildings. I stated I did not want to move in as it is a month to month lease which I believe offers no protection from rent increases. Their reply was "too bad, you signed the lease, you are responsible for the rent until it is rented". I have contacted an attorney. So much for good business practices. I would give them
