Aikido Center Sacramento offers comprehensive Aikido training in a supportive, non-competitive, and non-violent environment. We provide quality instruction in a traditional setting (dojo) for young people and adults who wish to cultivate their body, mind and spirit through the art of Aikido. With deep respect and gratitude we serve our community by "being the change we wish to see in the world".
Aikido Training at a basic level focuses on the study of physical techniques to resolve conflict effectively without aggression or violence. In practice, students learn how to effectively anticipate, enter, and lead the attack to peaceful resolution. Although Aikido techniques can be utilized as a dynamic method of personal protection, this aim is considered a by-product of sincere long-term practice and not its primary purpose.

I've been training here since October of 2016 and I am very happy with the quality of the instruction and the level of support that beginners receive from the community. This is the third dojo that I've been a part of and it is by far the best. With regards to the cost of membership, I'd say that the value you get out of this is directly proportional to the level of effort and commitment that you are willing to put into it. I'm training 4x to 5x per week with several different high quality instructors. Each Sensei brings something different and unique to my training experience. For me, $120 per

Great family friendly dojo to train your physical and spiritual life while engaging and building a great community. I have been training here for 6 years and the level of support provided by the Sensei and community for all aspects of your life and development is unmatched by any other group or institution I've experienced.

I have been a student for about the last decade. While the community is refreshed with new students continually, one of the distinguishing characteristics of this dojo is the longevity of many of its members--both in the time training here as well as the fact that students train up to their 70s.
Students range in age from 8 to senior citizens with a robust children's program and a new low impact class for those who are injured. This class provides a very real and satisfying experience of this wonderful art..
