The Brookwood Animal Hospital practice was built in 1983 by Craig Yeomans, purchased by Jennifer Reesman in 2019. We offer general and more complex surgeries, routine and sick care, and dental radiology for dogs and cats. At our animal hospital, we focus on providing personal attention. I started taking my cats to a chain animal hospital and felt that I wasn't receiving the best care, communication, or answers to what was going on with my cats.
I was advised to take them both to Brookwood Animal Hospital and am SO happy. We refer our after-hours pet care emergencies to either St. Francis Veterinary Services (specialist and emergency) 625 Deklab Ind Way, 404-924-2000 or Blue Pearl Gwinnett, 1956 Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd, 770-277-8600. Please call (770) 979-0089 or contact us to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians today!

Services
Please call or contact Brookwood Animal Hospital for dog and cat well or sick visits and preventive care for your pet. Well visits are more than just yearly vaccines. These visits provide us the opportunity to examine your pet, discuss concerns or changes that are occurring, monitor weight, discuss diet, and so much more.
Please call or contact Brookwood Animal Hospital if you need to schedule Surgery and Dental care for your dog or cat. Routine pet surgeries and dental, referred to as COHATs (comprehensive oral health and treatment) are performed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Brookwood Animal Hospital requires a presurgical visit prior to surgery for any new patient.
Our canine guests stay in a 3x3 or 3x6 ft run. They are leashed walked at least twice daily in our fenced enclosed back yard. We are happy to feed Science Diet food, or you are welcome to bring your pet's food for their stay. A daily boarding census is kept to note any changes in your pet while here.

I had just moved up to Gwinnett a few months back with my dog and he unfortunately came down with a little tummy bug. I didn't have a vet up here yet and Brookwood Animal Hospital was able to get him in on extremely short notice, Saturday last appointment available before they closed for the day.
They were able to get him the proper medicine and food and his tummy problems cleared up within 2 days. Wonderful vet, compassionate.

NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE STARS!!!!! If there was an option for negative stars this practice deserves it! The vet and his staff are inconsiderate rude unprofessional and put me and my family under a lot of unnecessary stress today. They came highly recommended but in reality they need to be closed down!!! The boarding conditions I observed were appalling. Shame on all of you for treating animals so cruel and for treating.a new client like trash and shame on you for stating your a vet but “you’re afraid of large dogs”. Pathetic! I will NEVER recommend your practice to anyone.

I found a pup in my back yard one day. I brought him here and they scanned him and found the owner's. The owners didn't want him. He was so scared and so loving. Obviously, we all in love with him and they help us get him all set up at a great price! They were so helpful and sweet. The staff is so caring!

We were out of town this week and underestimated our dog’s supply of medication (a controlled substance) which is necessary (every 12 hours) to keep her from having seizures. Dr. Reesman took time out of her day off to meet me to give us a refill. I could not be more grateful. You cannot get this kind of customer service just anywhere.

I started taking my cats to a chain animal hospital and felt that I wasn't receiving the best care, communication, or answers to what was going on with my cats. I was advised to take them both to Brookwood Animal Hospital and am SO happy with my decision! Brookwood Animal Hospital is more affordable, and everyone who works there is extremely kind and knowledgeable, and can appropriately communicate with you to create a care plan for your pet that makes sense. I think they have a great team of individuals who really care and I will continue to bring my pets here!

I have been bringing my 5 + dogs to Brookwood Animal Hospital for several years. All of the Doctors are just wonderful and all of the staff are amazing. They are not only professional but also very friendly and… caring. I have had several emergencies and have been seen immediately by them. They have even stayed late to finish an emergency surgery. If I need a med refill, it is ready the same day. I highly recommend Brookwood Animal Hospital if you are looking for a doctor for your pets.

After my dog had a hard time standing and walking and had blood in his stool we took him to this vet. Being new to the area we didn't have a vet yet. This Dr did not even examine my dog before jumping to the conclusion his problems were due to eating pizza crust which I knew wasn't the case. The Dr kept saying he had diarrhea which he did not! I… had to keep saying he doesn't and still the Dr thought what he wanted without knowing anything. A couple days later my dog couldn't breathe and had blood coming out of his mouth. We took him to emergency vet and the Dr at this vet had the nerve

Thorough, compassionate care for every animal our family has had over the last 20+ years. They present us with every care option and are realistic with prognoses. They always treat our pets wonderfully- the dogs get excited to go. A recent euthanasia had us all a mess in the room. They gave us all the comfort and time we needed and were very caring. We love Brookwood because they love us and our animals.

Elle (6 mo. old mini schnauzer) suffered a snake bite to her neck. There was instant swelling and physical tremors. The BAH staff instantly recognized her need for urgent care and called Dr. Yeomans right away, who wasn't in his office. From that moment Elle was in the best care possible. While it was a scary time for us both, I didn't have any doubts about BAH not being able to make the right decisions. Eventually, Elle was able to come home at the end of the day and is recovering well. Thank you!

To all the caring staff at BAH, thank you for taking the time today to write down my lost dogs information.Through your help and some very nice neighbors we found Zorro and he is back home with us tonight. I can't express how grateful we are for you. I've been completely devastated since Zorro disappeared but today is the happiest day of my life and the best St. Pattys day ever! Thank you again, from my family to yours.

Let me first state that this animal hospital seems adequate for pet care, it's just not what I am used to or prefer for my pet's care. The location is convenient enough but the parking lot and driveway is not driver friendly at all, unless you drive a tiny car, and not a van like I do. Very steep and narrow, with nary enough space to turn around in order to drive back out the driveway.
When an animal hospital designates rooms specifically for cats and dogs (this one does), then the staff really should only use the cat room for cats and the dog rooms for dogs. Pet owners will know what
