My kids and I use to love you this office when Mr.Dean was here. I will not recommend this office to anyone since he has left. We have been rescheduled exactly 4 times for appointment that is ridiculous. It’s impossible to have emergencies on every date we was scheduled for. I’m done wasting my time at this office.

It took me a while to be able to put this review up, I had to think about it over the holidays, but I just knew I couldn’t ignore my first experience at kids 1st dental in McKinney, Texas.
So The moment I walked into the office I was greeted with a very “dry” as you would say hello from a young lady checking me in just not a very inviting greeting being a new patient coming into an office for the first time… moving on, I then proceeded to sit down and wait in the lobby, which I must say it was very bare being a pediatric office but I get it we’re just recovering from Covid times (It’s

The treatment coordinator violated Hippa by giving out information on a patient to a non guardian and noncustodial parent and discuss treatment plan and went above what was discussed with the custodial parents. This person wasn't on any paperwork and went off word of mouth. She was very argumentative when this was told to her and then demanded we prove which we did by paperwork. I suggest the doctor find someone who knows hippa before she gets sued for this. By the way if you are reading this to the doctor you will have to wrote this off cause that person who you allowed to make that decision will

I will preface this by saying we saw Dr. Dean for NINE YEARS and had nothing but great experiences and great things to say. I’ve left multiple previous 5 star reviews as I’m sure many others have based on Dr. Dean.
THE PRACTICE HAS BEEN PURCHASED. They are piggy backing off Dr Dean’s rave reviews. It is now a very corporate practice and they are refusing to reimburse my money that I’ve paid out of pocket that they also submitted and were paid for the same visit by my insurance!
I brought my kids in January for their regular 6 month check up, at which time for some reason, my insurance

This was my son's first visit to the dentist. He is 2years 9months old. He every much enjoyed his visit. The Dr. and dental assistant made him feel very comfortable and let him see each tool and told him what it was for before putting it in his mouth. It was a great first visit to the dentist and he is looking forward to coming back! Thank you for making my son's experience a great one!

Not open the hours it has listed. I tried calling and left a message after no person picked up and I got there after 8am on Monday morning with my daughter (she only needed a crown put back on a tooth). Lights turn off as soon as I put my car in park. The doors were still locked. The situation was urgent. Also the parking lot to this place is torn up badly.

I am simply blown away right now. Called Thursday morning to ask for help with my 7 year d grandchild. Severe dental anxiety.... they made same say appt for us. Able to fit us in the next morning for dental work. I can begin to speak high enough about the compassion, the calm environment and the reassurance we felt from the second we walked in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Kids 1st Dental is hands down the best for children. They are so warm and patient. My daughter had to get braces and they walked her through each process and made her feel at ease. I love the reward system cause it encourages her to do what she needs to do to keep her teeth healthy and clean! I wouldn't take her anywhere else!

0 stars for this office and especially for dr Dean!!!
First he should not consider himself a "Pediatric dentist" if he will be annoyed by a 5 year old crying and scared within 2 minutes of his appointment.

Dr. Dean is fantastic! He is so calm, kind and patient and his staff is wonderful. I took my one year old to see him for her very first check up and cleaning this morning and she had a great experience. The office is very welcoming for kids with bright colors and toys and her visit was seamless start to finish. I can't say enough about how fabulous they are. Scheduled her six month checkup and am confident I will have a child that isn't fearful of dentists as she grows. Thank you, Dr. Dean!

My daughter, Jurnee got her braces put on 3/28/18. The assistant provided us with step by step guide on how to take care of her teeth and braces during this process. She prepared my daughter for what to expect the next couple of weeks; she experienced them all. Fast forward to this week a bracket in the back of Jurnee's mouth became loose, and came off at school on 4/3. I contact Kids 1st dental and they were able to see her first thing Wednesday,4/4/18 morning. So I am here writing this review. I love their customer service and how good the staff are with kids!! I will recommend them to

I have the utmost confidence in this office. From start to finish they are professional and compassionate making my high anxiety special needs daughter totally comfortable with something that can be fearful for kids. We have been coming here for almost two years and have always been given full explanations on everything from billing to treatment and left totally confident in their care every time. I recommend this office 100%.

After reading some pretty great reviews, I gave this place a shot for my sons first dental appointment, he is 14 months. No one was at the desk when I walked in so we just sat down to wait. After a few minutes someone came out and guided me to the computer to check in. I liked that I didn't need to fill out forms the old fashioned way. We waited in the waiting room for about 5 minutes. My son played with the toys provided which honestly looked like they are never cleaned, or very infrequently. We were walked back into a room where the assistant gave us some information that sounded as

0 stars! This place looks nice cosmetically but Dr. Dean is a professional scam artist. He sees dollar signs instead of teeth. I took my son in for a check up and X-rays because I felt he might have a cavity (very small one on his top front tooth). After taking X-rays, Dr. Dean comes in with a rehearsed and memorized speech about how my son needs ALL 4 TOP TEETH SHAVED DOWN AND CAPPED because of ONE small cavity! When I asked for other options I was told they could pull them. I asked why we can't just fill it and the question was ignored multiple times. I have since got multiple other opinions

Love Kid's 1st! My 2 1/2 year old usually handles these types of situations gracefully, but there's still always a worry in my mind because dentists can be scary to kids. Dr Dean was fantastic with my son, he made sure he was comfortable and explained everything to us/him as he was doing it.

We came here, honestly, because it's about the only pediatric dentist in the area that our insurance covers! I hadn't heard as much about this office as others in the area, so I was nervous. Well, they scheduled us very quick-within a week. It was my 5.5 year old and 2.5 year old's first trips to the dentist. We read books and they were excited. They let the 2 year old sit in my lap while Dr. Dean brushed his teeth, flossed them and put a vitamin on. They spoke gently to him and respectfully to us. Then the 5 year old got to go back where "the big kids go" to get his cleaning

We have been going here several years and love Dr. Dean. My son is only 4 and they have gotten him to love coming to the dentist. I am so glad we started him early so that he got over his dentist fears. They have the nicest staff and will spend so much time with you about any issues and make you feel at ease.

We've been coming here since it opened and have always been pleased. Dr Dean is kind and patient and so is the staff. My kids love the tablets everywhere. The Prize Wall is fun but when the kids are already stressed about their appointment them not getting what they were hoping for can trigger a melt down. I wish they could just choose what they want instead of it being a surprise.
The office is beautiful and the staff is always friendly and willing to work with you. It's also basically paperless which is wonderful!

This kid's dentist office is just amazing. I was really impressed with the Doctor and his easygoing manner. He was very knowledgeable and answered lots of questions with certainty and detail, which I really appreciated. My daughter is 4 and, she has a tendency to get little nervous and usually clings to me in any kind of exam situation, but in this case she was so interested in exploring the bright colorful office, playing on the iPad stations, and picking out her prize from the prize wall she barely even noticed I was there. She was able to be looked at with ease, and could not stop
