We make every effort to ensure that all fees are fair and you are encouraged to discuss charges and request a written estimate before services are rendered. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover Card, and CareCredit. I couldn't be happier with the care our goldendoodle receives from Dr. Lee and the staff.
Morningstar Animal Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Maryellen Lee. She is supported by her friendly and highly trained staff, who all share Dr. Lee's passion to provide very best patient care to support the overall physical and mental health of their patients. Dr. Maryellen Lee is a 1997 graduate of the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine.
In our new state of the art facility, we have many diagnostic tools at our fingertips. We are able to run wellness or sick pet bloodwork in house when we need the answers right away, or to send them out to a national reference laboratory if very specialized testing is required. Our imaging capabilities include digital X-rays for body and intraoral (dental) studies, as well as ultrasound.
Dr. Lee performs many surgeries and anesthetic procedures such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and comprehensive dental services to name a few. She also uses cryosurgery for the removal of smaller, benign masses when possible. During all procedures, we carefully monitor your pet's safety under anesthesia using advanced monitoring technology paired with old fashioned personal attention.
Proper nutrition is the cornerstone of health. We provide personalized recommendations for your individual pet. These may include a prescription veterinary diet, an over the counter veterinary diet, or a home made diet, and will likely change over time as your pet changes. Dr Lee and her staff have been wonderful and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Dr Lee and her staff have been wonderful and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Dr Lee is patient, thoughtful and kind and always puts our pets first. First and foremost, she always makes sure they are not in any pain and if they are, she does whatever it takes for them to be comfortable. She is a great diagnostician and is very knowledgeable and has always been right first time when it comes to figuring out what's going on with our pets. The vets here took care of our dog Buddy for the past several years. Unbelievable job, especially as he got older. We recently had to say goodbye to him after 13 years and they were incredibly accommodating through the entire process including cremation. As we know, you can’t put a price on a good doctor and vets are the same way with our pets. Even with the onset of COVID-19 they have done amazing work with compassion and care.
