South River Vet offers a wide range of health, wellness and veterinary services that are catered to our clients and their pets' needs. Some diseases can be subtle, having an annual exam allows us to examine your pet to help identify potential diseases early which can help prolong the life of your pet.
I am a New England native having grown up in coastal CT. Veterinary medicine has been a calling for me my entire life; at a young age I started to learn how to handle and understand animals and volunteered at veterinary hospitals. I attended the University of Vermont (UVM) and received a BS in animal sciences and nutrition.
Heather happily changed career paths to help run SRV with her husband Dr. Berman. She has a sincere love for animals and makes sure all patients at the clinic are content and well cared for. She also enjoys handling client relations. Heather was raised on Cape Cod and has family close by in Duxbury.
Your pet can benefit greatly from regular wellness examinations or checkups. Whether your pet is a youngster, a "senior citizen, " or any age in between, wellness examinations provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical examination and develop a health profile for your pet.

Dr. Berman is the most caring and dedicated veterinarian I have ever had treat my precious pets. I've been going to him for over 8 years. His compassion and support before, during and after the time I had to send my dog, Baby over the Rainbow Bridge was genuinely heartfelt. He and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel like family. I personally feel his PRICES are VERY REASONABLE. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to put my dog down. It was a very difficult time for me, but I knew that Dr. Berman was the one person I could go to for both professional help and compassion. It was far from easy, but Dr. Berman did as he always does - he gave me and my dog his full and undivided attention and patience even as he had others waiting for him and when things didn't go as simply and quickly as may have been planned. He is truly a one of a kind vet, and quite a special person. In fact, a few days later I received a 2-sided, hand-written card in the mail from Dr. Berman

Dr. Berman and his staff provide excellent veterinary care. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable, they are also compassionate and friendly. There is good availability for appointments and the cost is reasonable You never wait long when you are there for an appointment. The place is SPOTLESS, too. Highly recommended.
