We offer healthcare solutions that make it easier for everyone involved to work together more seamlessly. The "HealthiverseTM" is a term coined by DrFirst to describe our vision of a united healthcare universe where everyone is connected in real-time to each other and to the information they need, so patients get the best care.
The vast Healthiverse includes patients, medical professionals and caregivers, hospitals, pharmacies, EHRs, payers, HIEs, pharmaceutical companies, and more. The expansiveness of the Healthiverse means that providers need better access to complete, clean, and consumable information to provide the best care for patients.

Services
Since 2000, DrFirst has pioneered healthcare technology solutions and consulting services that securely connect people at every touchpoint of care to improve patient outcomes. Headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, DrFirst creates unconventional solutions that shatter information silos and solve care collaboration, medication management, price transparency, and adherence challenges in healthcare.
Accurate and timely medication information can mean the difference between life or death in emergencies. DrFirst understands what first responders need. That's why we've created data solutions that move as fast as you do. Lack of medication history at the scene of an emergency puts patients in urgent need at greater risk.
As one of the most accessible healthcare providers, pharmacists are powerful drivers of both patient and public health. Ever-changing practice and reimbursement models have opened the door for today's pharmacies to do so much more than dispense drugs. Medication therapy management, patient education, immunizations, and primary care support are all key functions pharmacists deliver as essential members of patients' care teams.
Industry pressures on pharmaceutical companies are crushing right now. Payers are evaluating the drugs on their formularies constantly. Pay for performance in value-based care is just as critical to your therapies. Doctors are pressed for time with their patients and have their "go-to" drugs. At the same time, if a medication is perceived not to work, patients will stop taking it.
Value-based care is here to stay. Providers expect their EHR, HIS, and technology vendors to deliver the tools and data to help them succeed. DrFirst can simplify the transition through our medication management, medical benefit, and collaboration platforms. We need confidence that our partner understands our challenges and has the clinical, technical, and product expertise to helps us achieves our goals.

The 1 star is because it's free, otherwise it would be zero stars. But you get what you pay for. It's cumbersome to use. And you'll lose patients AND patience trying to get them to fix any issues. It's not worth the irritation. Submitting a request online, calling, none of it matters. I submitted a request 2 days ago because epcs isn't working suddenly, and they're not responding. Called 4x, 30+min each, and no answer ever. Time is money, so put your money to good use and pay for a different product!

It used to be Doctor First, now they are Money First. In 2016 they were great, strong product, excellent customer service, no ads, didn't sell patient data, etc. They truly did put the doctors and patients first. Sadly, and predictably, they have gone way downhill as they try to maximize their profits. I had one experience where they literally stole 1.5K + from me. I don't use the word "stole" lightly but I cannot think of a better descriptor. They pitched me a new, add-on service, I paid for it, it never worked. I tried like hell to get it to work. I put in tens, possibly hundreds

I love working here! Being a part of a leading Health IT company that helps to change and improve lives with their products is fantastic!
They have a great corporate culture and have even won awards for it! Ping-pong, stocked pb&j, annual picnics, monthly paint nights, and 401k matching just to name a few of the awesome things about DrFirst culture.
They truly listen to our feedback and work on improving things based on it. So glad to have the opportunity to work here and look forward to many more years.

This company was a pleasure to work with back in the early 2000's. As we approached meaningful use and all that came with it, things started to fall through the cracks. Now, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Their obviously untrained staff who at this point I feel more experienced than have no idea how to answer even the simplest of questions and most of the time it seems like they are just guessing until they get you off the phone. God forbid you have a real issue as my company did and you will have to wait 8 months for any type of progress on reports that are required

I paid for two (2) DrFirst physician e-prescribing licenses through EHR vendor e-MDs
9 months ago, and yet we still cannot e-prescribe with Drfirst, despite having paid for full licensing some time ago. The registration system is horribly broken, and will not confirm my identity despite numerous resets because it cannot confirm my valid Colorado driver's license or establish my identity. I advise Colorado physicians to think twice before paying any subscription money to DrFirst - they are not serious about customer service. They have unilaterally closed every trouble ticket I have opened

I have been using DrFirst for my e-prescribing for over 12 years. My EMR uses another company out of Texas. They have had problems with stability and they do not have prescribing for controlled substances.
DrFirst.com has a straightforward interface and most Pharmacies now take controlled substances.
There is a learning curve, but it is no different than any of the other e-prescribing systems I considered.
They had no major issues transferring our database into their system.
For e-prescribing, they are great.

I've been using DrFirst eRx for 5 weeks with horrible results. Interface is clunky and unintuitive (as noted by another reviewer), pull-down tabs are remarkably small targets for the cursor to hit, slowing down the whole process. The biggest problem is on the receiving end; pharmacies that are indicated in the database to accept eRx often don't in real life! This goes especially for EPCS. As such, patients arrive to pharmacy and no prescription is there. Pharmacy or patient then calls office and needs Rx to be repeated. It's a redundant waste of time for my staff and for me

The demo was really excellent. It looked so good. We signed up. But have been calling the tech support which BTW is the best I have ever encountered! However it does not make for the poor software. It is very non-intuitive and missing a ton of features that are still needed. It is clunky and not user friendly. It took us over six weeks just to get it all established to begin to use. And the staff does not like it. I am having to do major convincing to not chuck it.
Once again, the support however is first rate.

Poor support - we requested a change to the data within the system because the system would not allow us to easily change the data. The support process has been very frustrating, they did not tell us up front what was required and after a week of going back and forth of doing what they ask only to be told they now need something else, the request is still not done. This complaint is with the Rcopia support team.
