We are fortunate to be located in a spacious, natural environment, in the middle of Crestwood Hills Park, where children might spot a deer on our hiking trail, experience the joy of harvesting fruits and vegetables from our school gardens, or watch a bird feeding its babies in one of our Sycamore trees.
This idyllic setting is nestled --to the surprise of many-- in the beautiful hills of Kenter Canyon within the historical neighborhood of Crestwood Hills in Brentwood. Our educational philosophy is the heart of our school and supports the guiding principles of our teaching. We are a developmental, play-based, child-centered, and cooperative preschool.

Our educational philosophy is the heart of our school and the guiding principle of our teaching. We are a developmental school. We believe all children learn, change and grow at different rates and stages. A constant thread is the belief that all children are unique. We honor who they are and look for ways to teach, based on individual learning styles and interests.
It is important that prospective families become familiar with our philosophy and unique co-op component. Accordingly, we ask that you complete our Admissions Checklist, including attending a virtual tour, in connection with submitting your application for admission. Explore our videos and sign up for an upcoming tour with our Membership Team and Director to learn more about Crestwood.
Our inclusive community values diversity in all its forms and honors the social and individual differences of all children and families. As part of their contribution to our learning community, parents are encouraged to share various aspects of their families' backgrounds and cultural experiences through planned classroom activities.
Unlike other forms of preschool, a co-op requires more than tuition -- a commitment of each parent's time, energy and attention are vital assets to our early educational setting. Parent volunteers assist in the classroom, clean and maintain the school, and attend membership meetings as well as parent education opportunities.
