I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Giuseppe was extremely meticulous when applying the Brazilian blowout treatment to my hair leaving my hair with the best results I’ve ever had from this treatment! The staff was extremely nice and made sure to follow all covid precautions. I give this salon a 10/10.

I have been going to Talio for about 2 years now. I have had color and haircuts done by Caroline and Tracey. They are both lovely people and excellent stylists. I really feel very comfortable with both of them. Caroline did an amazing job at coloring my hair during my first visit. I really did not know what I wanted and she found the perfect tone for me. Now that Caroline is working part time due to her recent maternity, Tracey has been doing my hair and she is excellent too. Overall I have been very happy with the service I receive at Talio and I highly recommend it.

Finding a hairdresser who knows what they are doing isn't always easy. Finding someone who knows how to do great balayage is almost impossible. I found both in Shinee at Talio! She takes the time to listen to what you want. Her service is beyond spectacular and her skill with color is unmatched. If you are looking for the best balayage in DC, look no further.

I LOVE this place. I have fine, dark (3B) curly hair and it's almost impossible to find a place that won't implicitly discriminate against "difficult" hair types. Shinee was amazing: she talked to me about what I wanted, how I typically wear my hair, and how I care for it. She took that information and gave me the best color and cut options. I was so happy with the result. This was my first time here and I'm definitely coming back.

I've been coming here for nearly 10 years, after a very unfortunate layering incident at another salon. Elvira is the best, and she works with my very challenging hair with good humor and honesty. I love coming here because I've gotten to know everyone at the salon and coming in for a haircut feels more like hanging out with friends.

I was apprehensive about going to a new colorist in DC but I'm glad I stumbled upon Shinee at Talio Salon (thank you, Yelp!) I was looking for a colorist who *really* knew how to do balayage so I took a chance after seeing Shinee's Instagram feed. As I waited briefly for my appointment, I noticed her previous customers had come out with really nice color, which put me a bit more at ease. I have long hair, and a lot of it. I warned the salon about this when I called to book an appointment. They definitely scheduled an appropriate amount of time. Process took about 4 hours start to finish and there was no one behind me, waiting to get into the chair. I love that I was not rushed. Shinee and I even had time to go outside and take some "after" photos for her Instagram.

Hands down, by far the best salon in Georgetown. A professionally run business with a unique family flair. I have gone here for almost six years. I have tried many of the different services that this salon provides. Each and every visit has been positive (some transformative, the Keratin Treatments!) Caroline at Talio does the best hair in Washington! After living in NYC and going to several other places in the DC area I will never let anyone else touch my hair. Her color is amazing- I get compliments on my blonde color all the time and I always walk out with an updated cut that is easy to style myself and grows out naturally and beautifully. I came here to go back to my natural hair color and Caroline went above and beyond. I didn't know I could be so impressed with someone dyeing my hair back to brown, but it was the shiniest, most flattering shade of brown. It shines just a tiny little bit red sometimes and it is absolutely perfect.

I've been seeing Caroline for years. Not only is she amazing at color and cuts, she listens to what I'm looking for, offers suggestions, and steers me to the color and style that compliments my complexion and the shape of my face. No matter what crazy ideas I have, she guides me towards what will be flattering to me while still making the changes I want.

Coming out from California, I've been dying to find a good place to get a haircut. Unfortunately, I had made a mistake of going to another place in Georgetown that left my head looking like a lopsided top hat. I'm a bleach blonde Florida girl who has been dying my hair with that $3 boxed hair dye from Walmart since probably the 7th grade.
I was 100% a non salon believer. Why would I go drop a whole paycheck to have someone do my hair for me when I can do it myself? Psh I'm not that lazy or stuck up.
UNTIL...my father had decided to give me money to get my hair done as a birthday gift. At first I wasn't sure about it but my hair was pretty messed up it was going to be very difficult
