Elite Smog & Auto started in El Cajon in 2003 when owner Travis Davison decided to try his hand at running a shop as a mobile mechanic. He quickly gained a loyal customer base due to his excellent service and effective auto repair results. This allowed him to open up a full-service brick-and-mortar auto repair shop in 2008.

The professionally ASE-certified mechanics at Elite Smog and Auto offer a wide variety of services designed to maintain the safety and performance of your vehicle. From scheduled maintenance to emergency breakdown repair to Certified smog check, our team works hard to keep you on the road.
Elite Smog & Auto donates $1 to the San Diego Humane Society for every Passed Smog Inspection performed at our station. This event is sponsored by the San Diego Humane Society and other community partners. This event will include pet adoption opportunities and a happiness zone for pets! Unless your vehicle requires premium gasoline, filling up your vehicle with high-octane gas is a waste of money. The premium gas doesn't boost your gas mileage or performance. If you're not sure what grade works best for your vehicle, your owner's manual will tell you. You can also ask your mechanic what grade to use.

Travis and his staff , especially Dave, are extremely professional. I’ve been in there a number of times for different issues and they have always let me know promptly what it’s going to take to fix it as well as other things they’ve noticed on my vehicles. Their rates are very reasonable, from small things like oil changes to larger issues like transmissions, these guys will get it done for you and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!!
