With 37 years of experience cooking in his own restaurant, our Chef is excited to share his food with you and all our guests. He began this odyssey in a small place with faux wood panel walls, a bit of luck, a great deal of flavor, and the hard work of an immigrant dreaming beyond dreams. We are thankful for your support over all these years.
Not many restaurants outside of the corporate sphere can say they have endured for so long. The Burzynski Family: George, Aleksandra, Maria, and Peter have made Polonez a place to call home for four decades. Our caring, kind, and loyal staff of many years will ensure you have a fantastic experience with us.

What a FABULOUS brunch we had today! The service was fantastic from Brent, he has an awesome attitude and even had advice on how to have the best eating experience from the buffet. There was a man playing the… accordion, he was really friendly and interactive with my granddaughter. Thank Delicious mimosa with a splash of grenadine. Now the buffet… oh em gee! So many great and unique items. Their famous pickle soup, had to try and it was fantastic. Smoked salmon, fried shrimp and shrimp cocktail, which my granddaughter said was better than homemade. Ham was really tender, Potato salad

I heard very good things about this restaurant so I wanted to give it a try. First of all want to say that the service was exceptional. The quality of food was good. The variety of pierogies were plentiful but I paid $28 for a Polish plate with a bowl of soup which I personally think is outrageous.
I wasn’t disappointed in my dining experience although I don’t think I will find myself coming back here.

I was so glad to eat at Polonez and enjoy that last real dedicated Polish meal that Milwaukee offers. The stuffed cabbage, pork cutlet, and veal schnitzel were all excellent. The pierogies were a nice treat as was the super delicious czarnina. Polish sausage was moist and plump however I would have preferred more flavor. Potato pancakes were great especially with apple sauce. Photos don't do the food justice.

My Mother & I went to The Polonez Restaurant Tonight for our first Time. Usually we go to Kegel's Inn German Restaurant in West Allis, but we decided to try The Polonez Tonight instead, especially since we are American with Polish, Jewish, German, & Russian Ancestry. We both had the Polish Plate with a sample of a stuffed cabbage roll, a half link of Polish sausage, four Pierogies (2 were Meat with Beef & Pork & 2 were Potato), potato pancake, sour cream, applesauce. The cucumbers were good. They tasted just like my Busia & Dziadzia used to make. I Loved seeing the giant Polish Eagle on the wall

The restaurant is a quaint family restaurant in South Milwaukee. The menu contains many Polish staples. I tried the borscht, potato pancakes and several varieties of pierogies. The meal started out with warm rolls. The rolls were clearly microwaved and were rubbery. I wasn't able to chew them. There was an unpleasant and overpowering taste of worcestshire sauce in the borscht. The pancakes and pierogies are fried on the griddle in oil. They had good flavor, but the oil took away from it. The taste would be so much better if real butter was used.
