Human beings have the ability to be social, imaginative, creative and happy. We get tremendous pleasure in seeking and creating community with others, and this further enables us to live our lives with purpose and meaning. We also like engaging each other through working and learning, through volunteering, and by performing acts of kindness.

It is hard to deny that these acts are intrinsically human, that they are altruistic, and that they unfold in our daily routines and rituals in simple and beautiful ways. But it is also human to not be happy, to not know what we want to do with our lives, to respond poorly when our best efforts have been thwarted.
Services
I bring a wide range of experience and training and use this to enable and facilitate change in the lives of my clients. For over a dozen years, I have worked with a broad and diverse range of clients presenting problems from depression and anxiety, to relationship and work issues, to severe mental health issues.
Building a trustworthy relationship with clients is essential to my approach to mental health. Clients will come to believe that they can take risks and develop the courage to reveal deeply held dysfunctional beliefs, emotional pain, and maladaptive behaviors that lead to unhappiness.

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, (REBT) one of the original forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, enables changes in patterns of beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that perpetuate anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, pain and suffering and prevent us from experiencing well being.
I provide individual counseling for men and women who are dealing with challenging issues in their lives, including family, work, and intimate relationships. I also work with individuals who are dissatisfied with their own decisions and behaviors and who are not fulfilled in their lives.

In addition to individual and family therapy, I offer group therapy and retreats for business groups and for men, particularly veterans and other men who are experiencing transitions, who find their lives unfulfilled, or who are not coping well with life.If you are considering entering into therapy, there are two critical elements to ensuring your success: your motivation and the degree of trust you feel with me.
