Established in 1963 by Sifu Buck Sam Kong, Kong's Siu Lum Pai Kung Fu Association offers instruction in Chinese martial arts to people of all ages. We have two convenient locations, and our main studio in Kalihi is open 7 days a week with morning, evening and weekend classes. This is the famous Siu Lum Pai Kung Fu Association started by Grandmaster Buck Sam Kong. I have been a member for over 14 years. I came from California and my son was able to visit and work out with the Kids Kung Fu Class. I was very impressed with how warm and friendly the students and instructors were. They really made me feel at home. In addition to traditional Hung Gar Kung Fu, they also specialize in Chinese Lion Dance. I'm proud to call this my second home whenever I come back to Hawaii!

Karate Kid, Part I.
That's what I thought coming into this place. Ever since I was a kid watching the movie, Karate Kid, I've been fascinated with learning how to master the martial arts. How it flowed and just seemed wicked cool to just know a skill for health and general well being. Here at Kong's Sui Lum Pai, you'll get a basic understanding of everything you need to know. The first class is free to see if you think you are in the right fit. There are no colored belt system to denote rank here, so any preconceived of what you think goes on here can be thrown out the window

Traditional Chinese Kung Fu school started by Black Belt Hall of Fame inductee Sifu Buck Sam Kong. Great school with friendly family atmosphere. There are students that range from 5 years old to 80. Great place for exercise, serious self defense training and cultural enhancement. No macho tough guy attitudes and patient instructors. Jonathan W's review gives a good overview of the schools.

Kong's Siu Lum Pai Kung Fu Association offers the best instruction in Chinese martial arts to people of all ages. Siu Lum Pai Kung Fu is beneficial because it not only teaches you self-defense, but develops important mental, social, emotional and behavioral skills. For you busy College students with little time or inclination for gym memberships, you'll find Kung Fu training provides an excellent workout to help youkeep in shape.
