Shout out to Legacy Muay Thai for letting me do a drop in intro class. Matt was really awesome to coordinate with and introduced me around to the other coaches. Ivan was my coach for the intro Muay Thai class and he was so good at breaking down the technique and why quality is better over quantity. I told him it was one of the best Beginner Muay Thai classes I've attended. The gym was also really clean and the other students were very friendly and welcoming. I hope to be a student at Legacy one day. Thanks for a great experience!

One of the best drop in experiences from a traveler. I was in town for work, so I decided to call ahead to see if I could do a drop in class. I was told 100% that was okay and showed up to introduce myself. From the start I was welcomed in, given the layout of the gym, and flow of the class. I try to be extra humble walking into any gym, but as a stranger I felt more than welcome. There was a family feel among the students, and I think this is a direct effect that Coach Ivan has among his students. The intro class was well structured (jump rope, warm up, technique breakdown, partner drills) and

Pros:
- Friendly staff
- non-egotistical members
- Open air gym
- Great cardio workout
Cons:
- Small space, Classes get pretty crowded in the evening
- Not many bags
- Limited parking, like everywhere else in Honolulu. Get there early, or park in the shopping center.
Overall:
The only reason I stopped going is because it is a bit out of the way now that I moved out of town. I took classes here for 2-3 weeks while I was living in a Honolulu hotel. Seems like every class starts with a warm-up, then shadowboxing, then you work with a partner with contact pads to practice what you learned during

I just started taking beginner muay thai classes 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I have never taken any kind of martial arts in the past but have always wanted to do something different and also get in shape. I started with a free trial class to see if it was something I would like enough to keep going to and sure enough I'm now hooked! All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Coach Ivan is awesome and really takes the time to help if you need it. It's a very motivating and comfortable atmosphere and I am so excited to be a part it.

I've trained under Coach Ivan Flores for nearly 7 years, since the inception of the former M-1 Martial Arts & Fitness, and can't imagine what my take on Muay Thai would be without his knowledge and expertise.
Like many martial artists, he continues to perfect his craft and always looks to expand his knowledge base in order to maintain and pass on the art to his students, as well as uphold the values, traditions and skill sets of Nak Muays past, present and future.
