Animal Medical Center of Troy is a full-service companion animal hospital committed to providing quality veterinary care. Even before opening the doors of the Animal Medical Center of Troy, MO in the spring of 2000, Dr. Ryan McCann's goal was to practice the best possible veterinary medicine while fostering a friendly environment with a highly knowledgeable staff.
Today, Dr. McCann has more than achieved that goal. What began as a small practice with one veterinarian and only a few exam rooms has now been transformed into an 8,600 square foot facility with two full-time doctors offering everything from routine wellness care to state-of-the-art diagnostics, surgery, cancer care, and even laser therapy.

My 6 month old pitbull broke his knee and I brought him here to be examined. They called to tell me he fractured the growth plate and that I needed an immediate surgery that would cost $4000 dollars. They made it out like it was the only option. They wouldn’t look into splinting, amputating or anything. I have a hard time spending that kind of money on a surgery that also has a high failure rate. I was told that it would be $141.25 for the spay plus $32.50 for her required SVRCP shot and then $43 for an optional pain package. When I dropped her off I was told that she would actually need multiple shots that add up to $117 and the surgery could not be done without them. So I could either pay the extra surprise $75 or have to drive my cat home, be late for work, and go through the hassle of making an appointment elsewhere. I was trying to support a local

My fixed male cat was in a fight with tomcat & was bitten. It became infected and had a have emergency surgery. They got him right in and performed the surgery, just wasn’t expecting a $620 bill, but I know the Lincoln County Animal hospital would of been higher. The vets at the Animal Medical Center really care about & take good care of your animals. Highly recommend!!
