Services
It is located on the grounds of historic Old Swede's Church, and serves the needs of working families in Queen Village, South Philadelphia, Society Hill, Center City and Northern Liberties (just to name a few!) YCCA prides itself on being one of the few area Early Childhood Centers that not only accepts children with disabilities, but embraces the opportunity.
The mission of Young Children's Center for the Arts is to educate and enrich the lives of infants, toddlers and preschoolers through the creative arts. It is our goal to provide young children of all backgrounds with experiences in Art, Music and Drama for educational, social and emotional development.
9:30am to 3:00pm will vary depending on each child's group. Below is a list of activities that will occur during this time period and different point of the day. We schedule our activities in 30-minute blocks. YCCA offers an age-appropriate creative arts-based online program for those who are not ready to send their preschoolers back to school during the pandemic.
An Inclusion Program is an afternoon program facilitating development of social skills for children with varying disabilities. Our school is already an inclusive environment in which children with varying disabilities and typical children are interacting daily in the classroom. Children with disabilities in other schools spend significantly less time in interactions with their peers than do typically developing children.
