Both my son (now in 2nd grade) and daughter (pre-K student) attend(ed) Beacon Center for Children. We have had such a positive and enriching experience here. From the moment you drop off your child up until the moment you pick them up you feel assured they are safe, happy, fulfilled and loved. The teachers take a very personal approach to quenching your child’s thirst for knowledge. My son loved geography and the teachers would greet him in the morning with a geography book they had picked up from the local library, specifically for him! Needles to say, they go above and beyond and we have been

My daughter has been at Beacon for 4 years since she was 2 from the Toddler Room to the PreK room (twice). I've always been thrilled with the teacher to student ratio and the intimate nature of the school. All the teachers know your child and everyone works together to learn their needs and help them develop. PreK has a student-driven learning curriculum that is really fabulous. My daughter still talks about meteors and Egyptian pyramids.

We appreciate feedback at Beacon Center and always want to be at our best. In response to the Yan Li review, I'd like to address some of the points made. We are very proud of our school and we're more than diligent about its safety and cleanliness. Our center is cleaned regularly and we have a staff who sanitizes our toys on a consistent basis.
Our playground is spacious with a secured gate and ample staff to supervise our children while they're outdoors. We have carefully thought out, fair and reasonable policies that parents have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about prior to enrollment

The old teachers in this school are very good. But the school is very dirty and students played in the tiny backyard of the church (on the first floor with no gate or door to protect students from going outside) with broken slides and unsafe wires. There were two Japanese children attending the school for more than a year and they could barely speak any English. We ended up giving up our $5000 plus deposit after a few visits and went to Nest for part-time classes. While we were there, we met another boy who just quit the school because the school gave his mum a hard time as he was kind of more
